Quaint little cabin space in the redwoods. Nice location to base your visit to Mill Valley and the SF Bay area. Downtown Mill Valley - 1 minute, Muir woods - 12 minutes, Muir Beach - 20 minutes, SF - 20 minutes (to bridge), Napa Valley - 45 minutes. Can accommodate 2-4 (not 1). No cooking or laundry facilities, but a deck with grill for outside cooking. No breakfast: it wouldn't've been much anyway. There are stairs going up a hill. Comfortable, and laid-back. Early checkin/late checkout.

The space

Looking for a hot tub, spa treatment, or concierge service? Then check out the expensive hotels in San Francisco. But, if you are looking to take a hike in the redwoods or go kayaking in the nature preserves nearby or in the bay off Sausalito; this could be the base for your bay area vacation. When you've spent your day enjoying the beautiful SF Bay area, come back to a cozy cabin in the redwoods and maybe have some of that wine you picked up on your visit to Napa, and barbeque and enjoy relaxing by a small firepit on the deck.

Guest access

There's a small room with a loft-type bedroom and a small deck with chairs, table, and grill. Guests are welcome to look around, but there are great places to walk to in Mill Valley: downtown, Old Mill Park, Cascade Falls, etc., etc, and ....

Interaction with guests

I, or if I'm not available, my children, will be able to help and answer questions,

Other things to note

This is a small space. It is enough room for couples and couples with children. It would probably not be ideal for two couples or couples with older children and is not available for one guest. The bathroom is small and less private than preferable. The water heater is only 20 gal capacity so showers may have to be staggered, somewhat. This is not a hotel room and is not the place for those who like to stay in and watch TV...there is no TV.

Regrettably, at this time, I cannot accept requests that deviate from the listing criteria, as I lack the resources to monitor and respond to such requests.
Pets are allowed, but wildlife in the area is dangerous for small animals such as cats. Luxury cat boarding is available locally (less than 1/2 mile). Smoking allowed on deck, but not indoors. Small dinner parties are appropriate but not for more than the occupants and a couple guests. Check-in at 12 and check out at 2, but check with me for earlier check-in and later check-out.

Must climb stairs - This location is on a hill and has several flights of steps.

Lovely cabin near the woods, but also close to small-town shops and a very short drive to SF.

Thomas's cabin in the woods would make a wonderful romantic getaway! The neighborhood was quiet and accessible with great hiking nearby, and lots of local dining within walking distance. Wonderful experience and very cool scenery!

We had a wonderful stay in Tom's cabin. It was a cozy treehouse and came with lots of amenities (yes to candy and lotto tickets!). Tom was very attentive and accessible throughout the stay. I would highly recommend this place.

so first, the cabin: if you're looking for a place that feels remote but is actually minutes away from civilization, this is the place for you. we made a fire in the fire pit at night and felt like we were camping, then walked to a coffee shop in the morning. it's literally nestled in the redwoods... but only a short drive and you're in SF. the cabin itself is fun and unique. hot water and a fridge and a grill for cooking. the loft bed and ladder were an adventure. and thomas stocked the place with water and wine and beer and candy and plenty of towels and toiletries. there's a kitschy record player to play tunes. it was like a camp getaway with all the creature comforts. which brings us to thomas. what a thoughtful and generous host. so attentive and kind. he literally left midway through the trip to go help with hurricane harvey relief. one of my favorite Airbnb's ever.

Thomas' s cabin is located quiet between Redwood trees. It is a very peaceful place and we felt very comfortable. Thomas is a perfect host! He helps wherever he can. We definetly would stay here, if we come back in this area once a time.
