Stay the night in the original ice house at Oyama lake that has been here since 1932. This cabin is approximately 100 square feet inside. It has a small cooking facility with dishes and a bunk bed (2 single beds). There is no wood stove inside this cabin so be prepared for what the weather might bring. There is no private bathroom in this unit but there is a ladies powder room nearby with flush toilet, many outhouses, and a hot shower house. Comes with a bon-fire pit beside the lake!

Rustic beauty at its finest! The Ice House is basically my glamping dream; no need to set up a tent or carry your things in, beautiful deck right on the lake... The loons at night were so peaceful and we even heard wolves one night! We will definitely be returning here.

Oyama is an amazing place to visit! Great prices on rentals. The road is pretty rough getting up there but we did it in a car and didn't have any trouble. Just take your time. Nick and nickie were super nice and helpful answering any questions you might have. We had a great time…

This cabin is very basic but very comfortable. You can make a cup of tea, and just sit and take in the amazing environment. Listening to the loons calling at night is something we will never forget. We hired a boat for the day and pootled around the beautiful lake, spotting two b…

This place is amazing!! Can not be beat for location. Just an hour or so out of Kelowna and you feel like your back in time! This is a perfect retreat to recharge the soul and disconnect from society for a bit which is needed more and more today. 😉 Hosts are super friendly and …

This is such a great spot. We thoroughly relaxed, explored the area and had fantastic sleeps. The thing to note, the hosts are very honest about what you'll get. It's true, it's a super rough road to get up top, a 4x4 is best. It's also quite rustic, wee cabins, limited electri…

Staying in the Ice Lodge is truly a unique experience. If you love nature and you're happy 'roughing' it then this is the perfect place for you. It is definitely lacking in amenities - no private bathroom, sink, electricity etc but should be thought of more like camping near the …

Thanks so much for your lovely review. You guys were our first ever airbnb guests in the ice house so we really appreciate the feedback. The ice house has now been decked out with towels, lighter, light, and more chairs for guests to use during their stay. Thanks for coming, it was a pleasure to meet you two!

Hey... We (Nick & Nickie) live on a fishing resort on an 800 acre lake with 27 islands in the middle of the woods. It is peaceful, beautiful, and loony (Literally, there are chatty loons living on the lake that talk to us at night). I'm an artist who loves painting on the…
