The cabin was much more attractive and functional than we imagined. It's really well set up, very thoughtfully, and with beautiful Navaho decor. Very clean too. Rosalyn was great to talk with and very informative. We asked her to prepare dinner and it was the best Navaho taco we ever had (paid extra for this). Breakfasts were great too. And of course the location is wonderful.

Rosalyn's place was truly an off the beaten track but unforgettable experience---and I say that as someone who can best be characterized as an "indoors-type-of-gal!" I stayed with Rosayn in her charming place for one night while I was on my solo road trip thru Colorado and Utah. The place is an absolutely charming shed which her husband built on their land which affords incredible views of Monument Valley. As this was a photo trip, the sunset (filled with stars!) and sunrise views from the property were incredible bonuses for me! Should be mentioned that yes, there is a port-o-potty to contend with (which is absolutely fine) and while there is no shower, there is a sink, electricity, a space heater (which I didn't need because there were plenty of blankets), coffee making materials and more--all packed within a cozy dressed-up shed with plenty of privacy. Waking up (make sure to catch that sunrise from the porch!) to a fresh homemade breakfast of Navajo fry bread, honey, awesome coffee and fresh fruit was a welcome way to start the day and a great convo with Rosalyn was an added bonus. The Monument Valley park itself is less than a 10 minute drive away. If you want a really special experience while you are in the area, I highly recommend staying with Rosalyn.

Well that was an experience! Several months ago I passed though Monument Valley on a road trip. I desperately wanted to go back before the winter and spend a few nights. I got much more than what I bargained for. It was an incredible stellar experience- you’d think the scenery and magic of the area would be enough to create a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience but Rosalyn pushed that to the next level. Immediately I felt very comfortable with her and found her to be incredibly sincere and caring. While I was there, I wanted for nothing. The cabin was adorable, clean and full of thoughtful touches. I requested dinner before my stay and she accommodated a food allergy I have- no questions asked. She answered endless questions I had about the Navajo culture and land. Plus her husband is just as wonderful! I am planning on coming back and staying with her again when I have more time to accommodate a longer stay. I can’t say enough about my experience there. Don’t hesitate to book with her now ! Rosalyn and her family go above and beyond. Oh and PS she makes some spectacular jewelry you can purchase- you might want to ask about that as it is not something she keeps on display.

Rosalyn went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She is very friendly and shared a lot about their culture as we had many questions. She was also respectful of our space and privacy. The home cooked dinner was delicious and also a nice simple breakfast was provided. The cabin had everything we needed including a warm comfortable bed and many thoughtful touches. We really enjoyed taking a sunset walk with her lovely girls. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, cozy, and with a stunning backdrop to enjoy the morning sunrise. It was clear in speaking with Rosalyn, the owner that she cares a lot about making her guests feel comfortable, and it really showed: the cabin was well prepared, she ensured we felt welcomed as we arrived, and we we were even treated to homemade traditional frybread each morning. The cabin itself is located in a prime location just minutes from the Monument Valley National Park, and in every direction there's beauty to see. We'd have no questions about staying here again, and will recommend the spot to friends traveling in the future.
