Enjoy easy year round living within a 5 minute walk of Lake Bomoseen, the largest natural lake in Vermont. Although not directly on the lake, you will have access to our personal dock space, the private homeowners boat ramp, grassy park area, and small private beach. Bring your boat, or rent one from the local marina. Bomoseen is known for its fishing. The Lakes Region of the Green Mountains is known for its beauty and history. The biking, skiing and hiking are excellent. Come and enjoy!

The space
This house used to be our home, and it is very clean and well kept. It is simple, yet fully equipped and comfortable. The deck is great for morning coffee or just relaxing in the sun. It sits on 1/2 acre and has pretty good privacy and a great back yard for frisbee, whiffle ball, etc. The fire pit in the yard makes for a great way to spend the evening. On the 4th of July, you can watch the fireworks from the back yard while enjoying a BBQ!

Guest access
The main living space is upstairs with 3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room, and deck access right out of the kitchen. Downstairs has another bedroom, more living space, another bathroom, laundry, and space for storing bikes or other larger items. Our personal dock space on Bomoseen is also yours to enjoy.

Other things to note
The main draw of this location is Lake Bomoseen. It is beautiful all year with boating, fishing, swimming, and relaxing to the view as popular activities. Ice fishing is very popular in the winter. This area is amazing for road biking right from the house. Great mountain biking is nearby at Pine Hill Park in Rutland, Slate Valley trails in Poultney, and at Killington or Okemo for world class downhilling, which are both 45 minutes away. There are numerous hiking options, from very close by to all of the Green Mountains, and the Adirondaks are not far. Beautiful Prospect Point Golf course, with Harpos restaurant, is one mile. It is 45 minutes to outlet shopping in Glens Falls or Manchester Center. There are many historical sites nearby, such as Hubbardton Battlefield, Fort Ticonderoga, Crown Point, and Wilson Castle. The locally grown and produced food is amazing, with farmers markets in most of the local towns. And the leaves in the Autumn...well, it's Vermont. Winter brings access to skiing at Killington/Pico, Okemo, Middlebury Snowbowl, and more. Thanksgiving weekend brings the FIS World Cup Skiing to Killington. There is no shortage of things to keep you occupied, with one of the most popular being doing nothing but relaxing!
