Welcome to Bay 48 Callala on Jervis Bay.
Our studio accommodation is the ideal setting for a romantic or chill out escape in one of the Shoalhaven’s most beautiful (we think the best!)places. You get the best of both worlds with breathtaking scenery of the Bay & native Australian bushland.
Bay 48 has all of the comforts you need for a perfect break. It is a modern, open plan, self-contained studio with a relaxed & fresh coastal style. It is accessed via its own entry with off-street parking.

The space

The studio features a Queen-size bed with luxury bed linen and an ensuite bathroom, bath towels and beach towels are provided. There is a kitchenette with a sink, small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, glassware and cutlery. Self-catered breakfast provisions such as tea, coffee, milk, cereal, bread, butter and jam are included. There is a small dining table and chairs, comfy lounge, TV & DVD player, a variety of books and some games, split system air-conditioner, block out plantation shutters and much more.
Outside if you can take your eyes of the breath-taking views of the bay, there are tables and chairs set up in the garden which has direct access to the bay. There is a barbeque - cooking utensils, salt, pepper, herbs (pick your own from the large veggie garden) and oil are provided. Feeling lazy? Open the shutters and admire the view from your bed or swivel the tv around and watch from the comfy lounge.
THINGS TO DO:
Bay 48 gives you the opportunity to enjoy the diverse bush-to-bay landscape at your own leisure.
Bay 48 is the perfect place to start your day watching the sun rise and the perfect place to finish your day watching the sun set over the bay. During the day kick back and enjoy a BBQ with a view.
Relax and enjoy the serenity or go for a swim or snorkel in the crystal clear waters, the water is also idyllic for some fun on our kayaks (there are 2 subject to availability) and stand-up paddle boards(byo), watch the magnificent yachts dance across the bay.
Explore the numerous bush tracks and coastal tracks ( there are 2 bikes on site, subject to availability) which all offer stunning views of the bay, or native bushland. You can see the humpback whales during migration season between May – November and dolphins along the coastal tracks. You can also see native wildlife and many bird species such as pelicans, lorikeets and sea eagles that frequent the area along the bush tracks.
You can also eat out at one of Callala’s local cafes or at the RSL (courtesy bus available in the evening) or catch the local ferry across to Huskisson (subject to seasonal availability) and visit a great range of eateries and shops.
Visit the many bays and beaches in the Shoalhaven.
Spend a day in Berry, browsing the shops.
Investigate the many wineries the region has on offer.
Callala has a well-stocked IGA, bottle shop, butcher, 2 cafes, takeaway, pizza shop, chemist, hardware and a fabulous giftware/ladies clothes shop, post office and a golf course.

Beautiful studio at the bottom of the house facing the boat ramp. Bubbles, aka 'Director of Welcomes' was such a friendly dog and we loved visiting Callala Bay. The room was furnished immaculately, new and well maintained. Julia had also added little amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash/lotion, snacks in the kitchen and even 2 welcome snacks! Would love to come back down here in the summer :)

I was welcomed with a friendly smile from both Julia and her little companion Bubbles and felt at home right away. The photos don't do this place justice. The room is very clean, spacious and relaxing and nothing beat waking up each morning just to open the shutters and admire the view. Julia offered great hospitality and flexibility. A great place for a getaway. I can't recommend this place enough.

Bay 48 is probably one of the best AirBnB places my partner and I have stayed it. The attention to detail is amazing, Julia is super friendly and a great host. We drove down the coast for my partner’s birthday, and we came in to birthday cupcakes with a handwritten note for her. The place is exactly as you see in the pictures, and it’s great to wake up in the morning to the sound of waves. Thanks for a great memory, and amazing hosting Julia!

Indeed, I want to take all the boxes for what amazed me with Bay 48. Warm welcome with the welcome 'team' and the message, stylish and clean studio with nescessity provided, generous breakfast and treats, tranquil and peaceful environment. The view is just exactly what is shown on the pictures we even saw massive bull rays just out there! Overall, I am very satisfied and this place is just more than what I expected. I would definitely recommend to others and will visit again next time! Thanks Julia.

Julia was a delightful host and her puppy dog bubbles made the stay even sweeter! She’s lucky we didn’t steal him :P The room was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed and had amazing views of the bay. I let Julia know it was my girlfriends birthday, so she made us some cupcakes and wrote ‘happy birthday’ on a chalk wall in the room - such a wonderful, personable experience. We can’t wait to go back!

Response from Julia:
Thankyou Stephen, it was a pleasure to meet you both, I made sure Bubbles was "secure" before you left! We look forward to your next visit, cheers Julia
