Lawrence was a great host. He responded to us immediately and was very accommodating. He also left us a lot of tips for things to do in New Haven. If you’re looking to save money and stay in a cheap place, I definitely recommend staying here. The place was old, but it’s kept very…

Great place to stay for a visit to New Haven. Plenty of space, and not too far from downtown.

Great deal. Old house as described, obviously well maintained. Everything you need on the road, no frills.

Response from Lawrence:
This guest spent only one night in the unit. In my messages to all guests I write that they can contact me at any time with any problem and I will respond 24/7, and plus I have a co-host who is also available 24/7. This guest never contacted me or the co-host to report that something wasn't working, or something was broken or damaged or in need of repair. If so I could have repaired whatever it was that he thought was broken or put him in a different room. Instead he vaguely indicates that the property needs repair. The house is old, but the price is low to reflect that. This person may be used to living in a luxurious townhouse, and was disappointed that he had to spend two nights in a house that was built in the late 1800s. The building is on the historic registry. This person paid $30 a night, in a room in the very upscale neighborhood of Wooster Square of New Haven, within a block of the famous Pepe's Pizza. I have a cleaning girl come in every day and clean the building, none of the other airbnb guests complained about any repair issues in the building on the nights this person stayed, so I would be very wary of the honesty of this person. New Haven rents are very high. For $75-100 a night this man could have stayed with his girlfriend at the infamous Three Judges Motel in New Haven and shared the building with prostitutes, drug dealers, roaches and bedbugs. If this person wanted an upscale hotel he should have spent $300 a night to stay at the Omni Hotel on the Green. This person did not complain that he did not get a good night sleep. I am sure he slept well, for the one night that he stayed on the new beds that I provide. The few minutes that this person spent awake in my unit would have been better spent at Pepe's or Sally's Pizza enjoying a good meal instead of complaining about repairs.
