Cozy, warm, basement apartment with a touch of mountain cabin feel. 1/2 block from SUU campus makes this location perfect for walking or biking to just about anywhere you might need to go. Raised garden beds in front and back of the home with metal art are scattered throughout the garden. Chickens in the backyard help make the property feel less like city dwelling. Built in healing therapy room provides a tranquil and relaxing place to refresh and recenter from the busy world.

The space

Our family lives quietly upstairs and our healing room is located in a separate private studio. Jae is a reiki master, reflexologist, and herbalist. One session of any of these treatments comes with the purchase of your stay of 3 nights or more. You can purchase these treatments separately if you wish as well.

Guest access

Everything is accessible except the main upstairs living area (where we live) and the garage. The apartment is accessable through it's own street side entrance. There are stairs to access the apartment.

Interaction with guests

Because we live upstairs, we are always available when we are home. If we are not home and you need assistance, just send us a text and we will respond a.s.a.p. We often will leave fresh baked cookies and other edible enjoyments for our guests to enjoy when we are cooking in the kitchen or picking produce from our garden.

Other things to note

Our family loves to eat...but we believing in eating as wholesome and nutritious as possible. Eating healthy at home can also be done away from your home if you need any help finding foods that fit your diet, please let us know, because we know all about the need for a good diet especially when traveling.

We stayed at the apartment for the Shakespeare Festival. It was the perfect size apartment for multiple people, and was extremely close (only a 4 min drive or quick walk to get to the theatre). The atmosphere is warm and clean and Jae is absolutely wonderful and quick to respond to any questions or requests.

This is an amazing find if you're staying in Cedar City. The pictures don't do this place justice, so spacious and roomy. We were definitely impressed by how clean and equipped the entire apartment was. The beds were so comfortable and we all slept like babies. Pros: Fully equipped kitchen Extraordinary mattresses Two bathrooms (1 1/2) Easy entry WiFi Thoughtful host Netflix Fluffy pillows Cons: No bathtub (only a con if you have little kids) Parking on the street. (May have been a temporary situation due to a dumpster in the driveway)

Clean, comfortable and convenient! It's an older house, but the space has been nicely remodeled and has everything you need. Jae and her family are very friendly and accommodating. The house is located a short walk from the SUU campus and is close enough to walk to the Shakespeare Festival. The private entrance was covenient. We didn't end up scheduling a reflexology session, but it looked great!

Jae's place was just right for us! So many things were lovely!.......the location, the privacy of the apartment, the convenience of the laundry, all the special touches (like coffee supplies)......on and on. It was especially nice to have a full kitchen since we like to cook all our own meals. We loved the yummy warm cookies! The only thing we missed was being able to see out the windows, but we could easily go outside, so no problem. The yard was so full of wonderful adventures, with plants and animals and building materials - it felt like home!

Jae has a great space, with gardens outside and a full 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment downstairs. Jae gives one free Reiki or Reflexology session with a 3-night stay so I got a Reflexology session and it was amazing! The apartment is clean, spacious, and quiet. Very convenient to the Shakespearean Festival. We stayed while attending a training nearby. I liked the privacy and coded entrance. We'll be back next month to go hiking and exploring in some of the many canyons and national parks nearby. Highly recommend Jae's Airbnb!

My husband and I decided to hike the Kolob Canyons and visit Cedar Breaks to break up our long drive between Colorado and southern California. We stayed at Jae's place for four nights. It was a perfect hideaway for us, centrally located and well appointed. Cozy TV room, great kitchen, nice dining area and a really comfortable bed. Jae and her family were welcoming and warm. Great communication and accessible for questions. Fresh baked cookies upon arrival and a great coffee bar. I highly recommend their place, as well as a healing session with Jae. She's a natural healer with great hands!

I am a busy mother of triplet daughters. I work full time at a dental office as an insurance coordinator and am also a Reiki Master, Reflexologist and Herbalist! I love helping others find balance and healing in their lives.
I love traveling, but my husband does not care for the process of traveling (driving/ flying) so we tend to stay close to home- but we are blessed to live in such an amazingly beautiful area of the USA! We love to go hiking and explore the local sites and when we do travel we do the same! My favorite place I have visited was Laie Hawaii- so beautiful with an amazing Polynesian Cultural Center!
I love Food from all over the world. My favorites are Asian and Indian! Our family is gluten free due to allergies, but we have learned to be creative and experiment!
I love reading but don't find much time to actually read. When I do have time I love a good historical novel.
