A relaxed beach chalet, 20 minutes walk down to the award winning Three Cliffs Beach. A cosy property in a unique and tranquil location, will suit walkers, families and those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The space

The property is all on one level with one step into the master bedroom and bathroom. There is also a step into the property from the front and back doors and 2 steps into the garden from the field. You are able to drive to the front of the property on the field. This does get muddy when it has been raining a lot. Bring wellies!

There is an electric oven, 4 ring gas hob, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, mixer, juicer, bread maker, dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge/freezer for your convenience.

The front garden is mainly on one level and is the most suitable for young children with a gate to the front and the side of the property. The back garden is steep but with beautiful views of the sea.

Guest access

All parts of the house and garden can be accessed, with exception of the caravan in the front garden.

Really lovely and peaceful place to stay with direct access to countryside and the beach from the back garden. Heard an owl one night! Got used to the bumpy road to the house after a few trips back and forth. Very spacious and well equipped house and warm! Slightly disappointed the Wood burner was broken but house is definitely well insulated. Very relaxing and tranquil place to get away from it all! Thank you

We enjoyed our stay, great location for walks. There is no tv so bare this in mind if you have kids as it is something you need to plan for after long days out, although there are a couple of board games available. Wifi connections were really good. The roads to the house are not ideal for low cars or cars with poor suspension will struggle.

Response from Debra:
Dear Jacqui, thank you for your feedback. It does state in our advert that there is no TV and that access to the property is via an unsealed road, I am sorry you missed that and I hope this did not adversely affect your stay.

This was a perfect location for a well needed family break. Found it really hard to locate (satnav problem) but following the advise from a previous review we knew to follow the bird signs. Debra's place is perfect for a family get away. The information provided about what there was to do locally, is really helpful. We met Wendy and she was absolutely lovely and accommodating. The only things we can say to help improve a stay is, more plates needed as we were a family of 7 staying here there were only 4 plates, so had to use bowls. A few other little things; The cupboards smelt a bit damp, the shower was blocked, the handle to the room with the big bed bedroom wasn't screwed on and there was a lot of rubbish under the bed in the bedroom opposite the bathroom. We were really disappointed that the fire had been broken by the previous guests and it couldn't be used, but I suppose that couldn't be helped if there was a quick turn around. A perfect stay and rest in a fantastic location, we would definitely come again and recommend this place for others.

Thank you for your feedback Michaela, we have recently had chance to stay at our property and have rectified all of your issues. I am sorry about the fire, we are still in the process of sorting this problem out. I am glad you enjoyed your stay.

Debra's place is great for a Gower getaway. The chalet is spacious whilst cosy, and well equipped. The view of Three Cliffs Bay from the back garden is stunning; the location is perfect for walks and beach trips. Wendy, who looks after the chalet and lives nearby, was very welcoming and accommodating when I turned up before check in time asking to dump my bags. The road leading to the chalet is extemely bumpy - you couldn't do it in a car with bad suspension. The location is not easy to find but follow the signs to the bird hospital and stop when you reach the heron / stalk symbol.

Great location to explore the Gower. Very clean and photos present a good view of property. The back garden has several levels and is not great for children. Really enjoyed our time at this property.

What a fabulous location with access to beautiful beaches and great for our dog (and us, including the children) to explore. It is also a great location for accessing Swansea and the rest of the Gower. We found the road to the chalet a little too bumpy for our car, and would recommend that you do not go in a low suspension car! The chalet was okay for our needs, but lacked sufficient crockery and cutlery for us as there was only 3 large plates (and 4 of us staying). Had there been a full complement of 8 people, I think we would have struggled. Also, the kitchen cupboards smelt a little damp and we ended up washing most utensils prior to use. Care needs to be taken with the gas hob, as it can easily be left on without flames, thus filling the kitchen with gas!!! We would have preferred it, if had we been asked to put the bins (and there are multiple bins for all the recycling!!) out on Thursday evening, than be disturbed at 10.30pm when Wendy came to put them out. All in all though, it sufficed our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed the location.

Response from Debra:
Dear Nikki, Thank you for your helpful comments and feedback. We will endeavour to rectify all issues identified. There are just a few things I would like to note: the profile does state that access to the property is via an unsealed road, and with regard to the multiple recycling bins, I'm afraid that these are a mandatory requirement of Swansea County Council. We do apologise for any disturbance on that evening and are very glad that overall you enjoyed your stay.
