Enjoy the peaceful and beautiful setting of this waterfront home on Chalk Pond. Whether getting away with your family or a few friends, it is the perfect retreat with the same comforts of home. With close to 100ft of waterfront, it is ideal for kayaking, swimming, fishing, or just relaxing on the deck. The location is also convenient for accessing golf courses, hiking, mountain biking, boating on Lake Sunapee, and the local attractions of New London. Check out the Paddle Inn!

The space

The inside of the house is a cozy 1,118 square foot. It is an open concept so the kitchen, dining, and living area are together. The downstairs room is multi purpose and can be used as a playroom, tv room, or bedroom. There are two full baths- one on each floor and a tub on the second floor. The stairs and upstairs is carpeted and downstairs is hardwood floors. There is no dishwasher yet. Each room has a fan. The house is freshly painted and uncluttered. The house has new cozy bath towels and soft sheets. Kitchen is fully equipped.

Other amenities include night lights, kid's aerobed, pack n play, white noise machine, tennis rackets, and yoga mat.

Outside: The house is private and surrounded by woods. You can see neighbors across pond and next to the house but the house is not on top of others like some lake communities. There is wonderful sunlight on the deck and yard starting at lunchtime through sunset. You can use four adult kayaks and one child kayak (bring life jackets if needed). We have big shady yard for lawn games (corn hole and two ring toss). We have a grill at the side of the house and fire pit in the yard. In front of our house, the water is shallow but there are different depths in the pond as you swim or paddle around. There is an association beach, tennis courts, and playground for your use close by.

Rob and Dans’s Place was awesome. I was blown away by the view of Chalk Pond and we loved sitting on the back deck and just relaxing. Everything was just as they described and they were great at communicating with us on everything about the trip. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful home on the water. We kayaked, swam, drank wine on the deck, watched the sunset, hiked,... The beds were very comfortable and the home had everything we needed. It had really nice sheets and towels. It has a full size fridge, washer, dryer, tv, DVD, and wifi. You can't beat this location.

Great time for our entire family during our stay on Chalk Pond. House was in great condition & the pond was delightful. Kayaking around the pond was pretty effortless and relaxing. The Sunapee Hills community that the house resided in was really chill and friendly. There were some nice small towns nearby that enjoyed and Mount Sunapee Park and Lake were a must see. Our daughter loved the Aerial adventure course there. We had virtually no cell service at the house or anywhere nearby. Though, they did have quite robust wifi and an Apple TV. The bedrooms were a tad small, but super clean & cute. And the bed (and pillows) in the master bedroom were sublime. The kitchen was very clean but a bit small for all of our food and pantry items - small inconvenience for an otherwise really terrific stay. We'd definitely stay again and recommend to any friends or family.

Rob and Dana's cottage is aa dreamy idyllic getaway. The lake was gorgeous (not too buggy!) and the house has everything you might need. From toiletries to spices to hiking routes and washer/dryer, Rob and Dana take great care of their place and were super communicative throughout. We highly recommend!

Wonderfully quiet and beautiful little home. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the scenery and getting out on the pond in the kayaks. A+ weekend.
