Oona and Paul were such lovely and warm hosts! We were greeted with great hospitality and given a cup of tea and freshly baked cake. The house was beautiful and the room was so comfy! We had the best nights sleep! I would highly recommend staying here. It was located near the stunning streedagh beach...... along with having beach views out their back garden. The breakfast Paul cooked was fantastic. Thanks a million guys

From the delicious homemade breakfast spread every morning to the candlelit hallway greeting us on our return from the nearby town the first evening, our stay at Oona and Paul's gorgeous home was really special. The house itself is just beautiful and wonderfully cosy, and surrounded by a stunning garden, with a swing looking out over nearby Streedagh beach. Oona and Paul couldn't have been more warm, hospitable and attentive hosts. Located around a 20 minute drive from Sligo town, we were well placed to visit lots of nearby attractions (by car): Streedagh Beach, Benbulbin, Strandhill, Lissadell House, etc. With all the trimmings of a good b&b combined with the really personal touch of being invited into such a lovely couple's home, it far exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it without hesitation.

The pictures don't do this place justice at all. First and foremost the nicest hosts I've ever met. Our flight was delayed 2/3 hours and there was serious delays on the N4 so we arrived a lot later than check in ends but Oona and Paul were so inviting and welcoming to us anyway. We got tea and a few treats when we came in. Easy to find and excellent instructions. The room is lovely with water and snacks being provided. There is a shower and a lovely bathroom for your use. We woke up and had breakfast which Paul made. You can't get better at a 5*. Paul had fresh picked local blackberries, granola, yoghurt, OJ etc and then toast, scrambled egg and bacon. It was beautiful with a gorgeous view out to the moors and mountains. Oona was delightful and always giving very helpful advice on the best local places to eat, visit etc. Great personal touch. The surroundings are just stunning. Streedagh beach is within walking distance which is personally now my favourite beach in Ireland. Close to everything (shops, mullaghmore, bundoran, rossnowlagh, strandhill). Perfect little country home, would highly recommend

I cannot say enough about Oona's place. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had. Oona and Paul are incredible hosts. Their home is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in Ireland. Our room was lovely with great linens, heated blankets and plenty of pillows. Oona even provided robes and slipper socks for us. We couldn't have felt more welcome. To top it off, Oona gave us a lift into town so we could take in some music and get dinner, the pub and restaurant they recommended were both wonderful. She then gave us a lift back out to their home, so we could have a few beverages and not worry about driving. We then watched the moon over the bay from the bench swing in the garden, truly magical. In the morning we went for a long walk on the nearby beach, which is one of the most beautiful I've ever spent time on. It was a two minute drive up the road. Then we returned to a wonderful home-cooked breakfast. I could go on and on, and we didn't want to leave. Oona and Paul made our introduction to Sligo truly magical, and we can't wait to return someday. If you're the type of traveller who enjoys getting to know your hosts, learning about the local area, and staying in a unique, gorgeous home, stay here! (And if you aren't, what on earth are you doing on Airbnb? Go book a dang hotel!) And finally, There once were some gals from the Rockies Whose knowledge of Sligo was spotty But they booked Oona's place, and boy was it ace; And now their review's gotten dotty.

Oona & Paul's home is beautiful and the location is too. The sea literally comes up to the end of the back garden. They are great hosts and are good ambassadors for what Airbnb has come to symbolise for me; warm, welcoming, helpful & chatty. Their pets (cat & dog) are also fab. The house is old world style and smells of citrus burning candles makes you relax the moment you enter. The towels were the softest ever! We were treated to fresh & large homemade breakfasts with plenty of choice. It's a little walk to the pub & restaurants however we knew this and came prepared with torches and hi-vis vests for the dark roads, however, Paul picked us up saving us the bother. The location is perfect as a launch pad for visiting that section of the Wild Atlantic Way and with Streedagh beach on your doorstep. We hope to visit again next year.

This place is perfect for a getaway. The hosts are extremely hospitable. They go above and beyond. Can't rate this place highly enough. 5 stars don't do it justice. If you're staying in Streedagh stay here.
