Buckhorn Bear Lodge is a cozy, luxury log cabin nestled in the heart of the Arts and Crafts Community. The cabin is located within 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and 3 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Greenbrier area).
While the exterior design reflects a traditional chink log cabin, the inside is a lovely blend of rustic and log, with attention to the details of design and decoration.

The space

The living room and kitchen/ dining area is a large, open room, complete with a wood burning fire place. The wood beam of the living room ceiling continues the atmosphere of this rustic mountain lodge.
The cabin offers a gorgeous, fully equipped kitchen with modern, stainless steel appliances, custom built cabinets, granite counters and a natural stone tile backsplash. The kitchen has a double oven range and spacious countertops. Throughout the house, you will enjoy the hard wood flooring covered by warm and cozy oriental carpets.
Both bedrooms are secluded, with their own bathrooms. The bedrooms include queen size beds, with therapeutic memory gel mattresses and leather loveseat sofas. The first bedroom offers a jacuzzi bathtub with radiant heat tile flooring around the bathtub and in the bathroom. The second bathroom has a custom built, stone shower and a traditional Scandinavian spa-sauna.

My family and friends are so happy from all the places we were looking at during hurricane Irma evacuation from Florida, we chose Svetlana's house! The place was immaculate, inside and out, more than I could explain in a few words. Very cozy, well equipped, with every single thing we could think of needed, there, plus some. On the way to her house, evacuee friends were having trouble finding a place, so I asked her if I could have them with us until they found a place to stay, a family of 4, and animals. The policy is strict about no animals and extra guests. Promptly, on a welcoming and understanding manner, due to the circumstances, Svetlana responded that they could come, and stay... They ended up finding a place, but still, such a nice gesture!! Back to the cleanliness, one person from our group is highly allergic, to, well, pretty much everything, but it gets bad when there is dust involved. He was allergy free the entire stay and we couldn't help but notice and appreciate how well she kept the house. Between the herbs we could use to cook, manicured landscape, tranquil outside barbecue area, fire pit, sauna, nice clean beds, and pretty much everything else, is safe to say her house is an AWESOME place to stay. Thank you Svetlana and family! One more thing. Communication was easy, she always responded promptly.

We absolutely enjoyed our 2-night stay in the Buckhorn Bear Lodge. The interior of this big cabin is carefully selected - our kids had a blast exploring the lodge and the gardens, recognizing deco and details from other (beloved) countries. The Scandinavian Sauna, the hot tub, the porch grill... were a plus. Svetlana really goes the extra mile to accommodate her guests as convenient and luxurious as possible. Everything was spotless, the location quiet but just a 10 min drive from buzzy Gatlinburg. If we ever to travel to the Smoky Mountains again...this is the place we'd love to return to.

Communication was FLAWLESS and the home was immaculate. Fun touches like the sauna made for a memorable stay. Grocery store is right up the road so cooking was easy and prevented us from the eating out every meal. Would stay here again!

One level, 2 bedroom home with great amenities such as sauna and hot tub. Great open space to play games and hang out. Lovely yard. Great location if you want to be close to lots of outdoor activities but away from Gatlinburg.
