Had a really great stay here! Ishtar was fab accommodating our dietary requirements, had lovely animals and the rooms were beautiful. Would definitely recommend!
Ishtar and Pete were so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.. both me and my boys absolutely loved the place and getting to meet Zena the snake, the cute dog and some kittens. We had a very relaxing stay and the house is ideally situated for the train station the …
My stay at Ishtar and Pete's place has been one of the best experiences I've had with airbnb so far. Location: their home is just five minutes away from the gorgeous wirral coastline, miles and miles of sandy beach, sand dunes, green parks, golf courses. A truly gorgeous and co…

Thank you so much for coming. The bangles from Pakistan are so gorgeous and remind me of you. You are a special and beautiful person. I loved our conversations so much. Much love darling, you are a light in this world. xxx Ps if you come again, we should go out. You are always welcome here. (Phone number hidden by Airbnb)
This place says quirky..another word for scruffy and sub standard. Uncomfortable sofa bed..needs proper mattress. Several bulbs blown. Cat and dog hairs in carpet. Dangerous shower..hard towels. Dried milk in glass jar solid as concrete. Being a Superhost myself I would be asham…
Response from Ishtar:
Sadly Carol and her husband are very prejudiced, unevolved and uncultured people. Perhaps they are threatened by our lifestyle and because of this are choosing to be so insanely hateful and to tell lies about our house. They came in complaining saying the house was 'weird' and seemed to be looking for faults. The shower is not dangerous, the towels are brand new. There is a new mattress on the bed. The house is clean although you will always get a few animal hairs (we say on the description DON'T COME if you can't stand animal hairs.)They were tut-tutting at our animals and shared that they hate animals with us. Loudmouth bragging about their Airbnb was bigger and better than ours. Carol and her husband should have read the description carefully, then perhaps they would not have come. We are bohemian/creative types. Our 200-year eccentrically decorated gothic style house is definitely not for everyone and we make that clear. While most people who come love us and our house. (we are super hosts). People like Carol do not and I am not sure why she chose our house to stay in. My background is in Psychology. Ethnocentricism means people judge others negatively who are different from them and I think this was behind the disrespectful behaviour. Carol was using a torch to go down the stairs so we could see her do it, as she said it was dark. It is well lit. No one else has mentioned that there was not enough light here. Her husband called me angrily to complain that we only had one light in the three-way overhead light. I said that was because we had four other lamps in the room. Carole said there was no bins, actually, there are four bins in the three rooms they booked. The powdered milk in the room was too dry.(They could help themselves to fresh milk ).Where was the wifi (angrily)? On the wall and on the Airbnb site. We have done all we can to avoid beige, critical, Daily Mail prejudiced and tasteless people coming to our house. Despite all this, they stuffed themselves on our free breakfast. If you are like this PLEASE DONT COME!!! I would be ashamed to be people like Carol and her husband. They are very nasty and I think they have a sadistic to desire to hurt people who are not like them. They should read Airbnb's policies on diversity.
Peter and I run a community gardening project. I teach and perform dance and I did teach Psychology for 12 years. We both love travel, art, anthropology, prehistory and reading. We are also interested in environmental, esoteric and political issues. Pete's background is in fil…
