Our little cottage was built in 1927 and is perched directly above the historic town of Evergreen. Downtown restaurants and shops are all within a short walking distant from the house. You can see a glimpse of Evergreen Lake and Mt. Evans from our deck. We have furnished the cottage with items we love. We want it to feel like home to you as it does to us! Don't be surprised to see deer or elk peering in the window at you!
Our cottage is warm and full of light at the same time.. Although small, the original windows bring in the natural beauty of outside and seem to add space! Both bedrooms are cozy with new beds. The sofa bed is queen size with a Memory Foam mattress. There's a 46" HDTV available so you won't miss your favorite team or you may want to end your day with a movie. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need to prepare a homemade meal. My favorite is the coffee bar equipped for your early morning needs. A Keurig® coffee maker with pods, creamer and sweetener is available for your use. A washer and dryer are available.. Help yourself to laundry detergent and fabric softener.
You have access to the entire home.
Other things to note
Please be conscience of our neighbors. They are permanent residents. Respect their sleep and privacy. Please be aware of loud noise between the hours of 10p.m. and 7a.m. Feel free to carry on with normal conversation and music volume during these hours. Please DO NOT BLOCK OUR NEIGHBOR'S DRIVEWAY!! There is room for ONE car to park in our driveway. There is a public parking area within walking distance for extra cars to park if you have visitors.
There is absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind allowed on our property. Dry weather and any kind of ember make for a dangerous combination.
- Only one car allowed on property
- Quiet time after 10pm
- No horseplay on our deck. Although our deck meets all safety requirements, the elevation is substantial. A fall would result in serious injury.
I will not see you in person but am always available by my cell phone.. Please feel free to call if you need me.. All local emergency numbers are listed on the side of the fridge in the kitchen.
My husband and I are native Southerners. We bought The Perch as a place to land when we visit our son and daughter-in-law who live in Denver. Hopefully grandkids will come along soon which means you'll have less opportunities to stay in our home!! :) We love to travel and see the many sights around the country but we seem to default to the mountains during any season.
