Our stay with Jennifer was wonderful. Such a nice lady and her little dog is so sweet. We appreciated the many thoughtful touches included in our stay - cookies at check in and muffins for breakfast. The location is great. Her home is a very short walk to shops and dining but also very peaceful and quiet at night. I would recommend Jennifer's home to anyone traveling to Cork. Excellent host!

Jennifer was a very nice hostess, she made us comfortable, attentive to our needs and she left breakfast for us. I would recommend anybody to stay there. She makes it very homey.

Jennifer's house is very clean and comfortable. We got a warm welcome from both Jennifer and her dog Blue (who is very cute). She also gave us lots of recommendations for dinner and things to do around Cork. Would love to comeback and stay here again!

Unfortunately, I cannot say we had a good experience. My husband and I stayed for five days at this house, and although the bedroom is spacious and the place is in a relatively good location (though on a steep hill), from the minute we arrived we felt very uncomfortable. The host greeted us by saying how tired she was of having guests and how she wasn’t making any money. We soon realized that the drain was badly clogged in the shower and when we tried to see if something could be done about that, she said that the problem was “guests with long hair” (!) and she asked if we could try to fix it and clean it. Since we couldn’t and since we did not know what to make of such unreasonable attitude and remarks, we simply let it go and tried to avoid having much contact with her. For some reason, one day before we left she said she had decided to call a plumber, and when we arrived back home the electric shower was broken and the drain remained clogged. As for the breakfast, we thought it was nice of the host to offer it and leave the kitchen free for us in the morning, but then we saw that there was mold in the muffins she left for us one day (and the bread was always out of date), and this only added to the already bad experiences we had there. We did take our chances by booking the room early, before there were any comments (or host’s answers, for that matter…), but we’ll certainly won’t do that again.

Im sorry you felt like this guys. I can assure you there was never mold in the muffins and if there was its now growing spores in your tummies because you always ate them!! The bread and the milk also continually dwindled at a rapid rate along with the toilet roll, my washing powder, which I assume you were putting on the cereal as you ate through that a a furious pace!!! As for the clogged shower, you spent most of your week here in it up to four showers a day and I never saw you required the aid of a snorkel!! Ive had so many lovely guests here for the whole time I have been doing airbnb and you are added to my list. The only difference is they didnt come to Cork to eat, shower and lock themselves in the hosts room and ocassionally go out to visit a Brazilian friend who lived here in Cork taking the hosts stuff with them to help her out, and then come home and shower and eat and take as muchas they could he next day . The only hair that I ever saw in the bath was Luises hair and it was that much, I thought I should save it for him as he dosent have that much to spare!! Anyway, go on guys and if you want I will reserve room for next year for you. Muitos beijoes, Jennifer and your best friend who you made such a fuss of Blue.
