Come visit our Homestead and enjoy our beautiful land. A craftsman cabin awaits in a small meadow in the forest. The cabin is built with lots of natural light and has a cozy wood fireplace. With kitchen, a large baywindow for reading and napping, and a second floor bedroom. We're in a remote end of the road location. It's a great space to get away from the busy world.
The modern bath house with shower and a claw foot tub as well as the composting toilet is a short walk away.
No pets please.

The space

Blessed with peace and quiet, privacy, and comfort this cabin is perfect for a writing retreat, romantic getaway, or to stay in during our retreats or workshops. This is rustic luxury at its best! A beautiful bathhouse with shower, claw foot tub, laundry and a private outhouse are just steps away. Gardens are full of fresh organic produce for guests to buy in the summer and our chickens lay the best organic free range eggs!

Guest access

You can have a quiet, private retreat or choose to visit with us in the garden if we are out and about. We live on Orcas year round, and have a large organic garden, grow mushrooms and have chickens. We've always got interesting projects in the works, and there are opportunities to volunteer and learn. Ask to purchase in season produce fresh from the garden!

Interaction with guests

We're often uphill in the garden area or shop, feel free to explore the land, trails, and forest. Come say hi to the chickens too!

Other things to note

We have a very friendly, and beautiful, 2-year-old dog named Bindi, she's safe with kids, and is very welcoming. You might not even see her unless you are in the garden or near the shop, she generally stays close to us. She is aggressive with other dogs however so we cannot have guests bring dog.

Please bring a headlamp or flashlight as the trails to the separate bath house, and outhouse are dark trails at night. Bring appropriate forest footwear as well.

Everything you need for an awesome, off the grid weekend recharge. Quiet, charming, peaceful & loved hearing the roosters in the morning. I would definitely return!

This cabin is very sweet in a beautiful location, lots of light. It is very rustic. The kitchen is not well stocked, you need to know how to use a wood stove. We had trouble communication with the host. We thought it was a little pricy for the amenities .

What a great little getaway! This rustic, simple, cozy cabin in the woods was the perfect way to unplug and relax. We enjoyed a crackling fire and a soak in the bear claw tub. Loved the sense of eco-friendly commodities and the little community that seemed to be there.

Such a great escape! Very close to ferry landing and east sound. Beautiful and peaceful property.

Great location between the ferry terminal and East Sound. Very easy to find. The cabin is very charming and we were happy to have the fire pit and firewood available. Inside has all the amenities stove, fridge, toaster, silverware, pots and pans, towels and blankets. Very clean and my kids had a blast nibbling the blackberries right off the deck and seeing wildlife - deer, bunnies and a raccoon.

We loved the serenity of this minimalist cabin. The outhouse was better than I expected, but I still think it was a bit overpriced for not having a full bathroom on site.

Erin's place is a beautifully designed cedar cabin (with lots of natural light!) located between the ferry and Eastsound. It is peaceful at night and the stars are gorgeous. The cabin is simple, with two places to sleep (I think both mattresses are technically futons for those who need to avoid these setups), a wood fire place, four burner stove, sink and mini-fridge. The outhouse was clean and they have a pee wherever policy. While there were fresh sheets and towels, the place was not super clean when we arrived (unwashed glassware on shelves, smelly leftovers in fridge, dirty diapers on deck). I would echo earlier reviews that the place is a bit overpriced.
