There's so much to do and so many places to cover in amazing New Zealand, that after a long day of walking (you'll do a lot of this) and exploring, the one thing you'd want at the end of the day is go to an accomodation you can call home.
That's exactly what Jason's listing is. A HOME. It was my home for 8 nights. And I can say it was one of the best Airbnb accomodations that welcomed me. The space was immaculately clean, large and has everything you need for a comfy stay. It's close to the Auckland International airport and UBER fares were reasonable (Thanks Jason for guiding me on what the correct fare is). The space was close to 2 bus stops - the one at Trafalgar is very near the listing, while the one at Royal Oak is very near commercial shops (such as Pac and Save -- which is, trust me, very important to tourists!) Ollies, which makes the best milkshakes in town, is also nearby. In 25-30 mins, buses 302 and 312 will take you straight to the city center in front of The Civic Theater and public Library (that's the last bus stop).
The space is in a very safe neighborhood. You also have quiet neighbors, if that matters to you. It can get dark outside but it's generally safe in NZ (as a night lover, i walked a lot around in the evenings). In the morning, you will wake up to the sound of birds chirping.
Jason was a great host. Conversant and friendly. Even if I haven't booked yet, he was patient in answering all my questions (& I have quite a lot). After booking, his responsiveness has remained consistent. When I arrived, he also lent me items such as adapter and an umbrella (I didn't use this a lot though, as I was very lucky it rained only once in the 8 days that I stayed in NZ) throughout my stay. Jason also checks every now and then if I'm okay as our schedule does not allow us to meet a lot (although we're in one roof) -- I sleep late and wake up late, Jason sleeps early (per my standards) and he wakes early too. He will also also suggest places you can visit and food you can buy.
More power to you Jason, and thanks for providing me a temporary home in Auckland.
