This small, white, clapboard cottage was built in the late 1800s and has lots of charm. The screen porch looks out onto a quiet street. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a pull out futon couch in the living area. The stairway is narrow and does not have a railing at the top. Ripton is a small rural village, population about 500. It is set in the middle of the Green Mountain National Forest. There is no cell service in Ripton.

My husband and I have a total of five grown children (from previous marriages) and two grandchildren. Although we are both originally from Massachusetts, we met in Vermont. Tim works as a carpenter and I am a third grade social studies and language arts teacher. I am a singer songwriter (on the side) and we both play an assortment of instruments when we perform with "The Michele Fay Band." We have a dog, Gulliver, who is overly eager to meet people, and a cat, Chester, who has proven himself to be a mouser. We love this area because it borders the Green Mountain National Forest, and has a friendly community. We also use airbnb when we travel to warm places during school winter vacations.
