Even without running into them, I felt cared for by this family. The patio is very sunny & great for getting work done. GrubHub has a great many options for delivery, reflecting the same recommendations by Gloria & Johanna. The sheets and bathroom are immaculate. Would stay again.

The house was great! We had a very full house but we didn't feel cramped. Secluded but about 10-15 minutes from anything you may need. Host was quick to answer questions and we were able to use firewood to make a nice fire at night. The hammock was so nice to lay in and relax. Great place to stay especially for navy boot camp graduations. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a very cute and spacious house that was central to everything I had planned to do. This is not a luxury home by any means, and the host does not advertise it as one. There were some pros and cons to my stay. Pros: -Very spacious house and yard! Kitchen is large, there are two living areas, and the yard is huge. -Screened-in porch with hammock, along with gated back porch/grill area. -Access to host's vegetable garden (tomatoes and bell peppers). -Host is great about communication and answers messages promptly. -House (including bathroom/kitchen) is well stocked and host is accommodating to all needs. -Bed is comfortable. -Central to Chicago and Kenosha. -Plenty to do in the area. -House felt safe and in a good neighborhood. -Easy and flexible check-in process. -Small touches throughout house to make it feel homely. Cons: -The house had a faint kitty litter odor. -The water in the house smells very sulfurous. -Two full-size beds in a shared room and one bathroom. If you have more than 2-4 people, you will feel cramped. -I had booked this house back when pets were accepted (I always filter to find pet friendly houses as I take my dog everywhere) but it looks like the host has since changed their pet policy. No pets allowed anymore. -A few friends/family of the host stopped by with bags packed during my stay to see if the host was home. This may not bother some people but it felt a bit like an interruption to me. Were they hoping to stay there? Who knows. -Several security cameras are mounted in the home. I'm not sure if they were on during our stay but it felt like an invasion of privacy. -Unclear directions for check-out. Mainly what to do with linens, trash, dishes, keys, etc. We just cleaned up a bit and took the trash out. Unfortunately due to the changed pet policy we are unlikely to stay here again. However, I would recommend this house to a couple or small family (4 people or less). The yard is great for letting kids run around in and I think they'd get a kick out of the hammock and the screened-in porch.

The place is beautiful and feels so warm and makes you feel happy. There is a playroom full of toys. The outdoor deck covered space is the perfect hangout when grilling. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows are fluffy and soft. There were extra blankets and all the other necessities to make our vacation complete, as requested we were left a stroller to use around six flags and not just a small umbrella stroller but a nice size jogger that fit all our six flags stuff. Host was very easy to get a hold of when we forgot stuff and had locked ourselves out. Over all would definitely stay here again. We loved it.

We were in town for a soccer tournament at the Waukegan Sports Complex. The house is very close to the fields, that was great! The neighborhood is quiet. The beds were comfortable. The wifi was great. The host was great with communication. I especially enjoyed the screened in porch and the kids loved the hammock. We had a great stay.
