A newly remodeled studio apartment with beautiful kitchen, 3/4 bath with huge shower (yeah, it's got three heads), super comfy queen bed, dual reclining couch and huge Ecobalanza chair, three person dining table, on-site off-street parking, and access to a covered deck.
"Very walkable" walk score of 75. Very close to bus, I-5, Hwy 522, and Northgate Transit Center. 15 minutes express to downtown. Short walk to groceries, coffee shops, and restaurants. Great spot for couples and small families.
The ~400 sq. ft. apartment features a comfy queen bed, couch (with dual reclining chairs), handcrafted Ecoblanza chair, 26" TV viewable from bed, couch, chair and dining table, three chair seating for dining and working, and a "full" kitchen (oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator toaster, but no dishwasher or garbage disposal).
We can provide a blow up single bed and "pack and play" crib upon request. Chromecast and local channels available but no cable TV.
You access the apartment from a private entrance via our shared deck.
Kid and dog friendly dogs with an acceptable reference are welcome for a $40 pet fee.
The studio is private (almost like a separate building from our main house) and easily accessible.
Shared spaces include our large deck with covered seating for when it rains. We also have a large yard with multiple spots to sit and catch the Seattle sun!
Access to washer and dryer available upon request (for small fee to cover utilities).
Parking for one car in the driveway (ample street parking as well).
Interaction with guests
We are friendly and love to interact with new people, and we understand solitude is enjoyable too. If you'd like privacy, we are happy to be close to invisible during your stay. And we'd also love to get to know our guests to truly enjoy the hosting experience. You can reach us by text or phone call.
Other things to note
We live in the attached house with our two young kids. Unless we are traveling, we will be in and out of the house and you may see us in the yard or on the deck.
The heater can take some time to heat up the room if you turn it down (it will be comfortable when you arrive) and is next to the couch (you have to turn the TV up a bit if you are sitting near it). But we provide another space heater to give you some extra warmth where you need it. The bathroom floors are also heated!
The neighbor dog Bella barks sometimes; its usually reasonable and doesn't happen often, but sometimes she takes a minute or two to give it up. She generally quiets down if you tell her she is a good girl.
Our internet generally functions well, but it is not lightning fast.

- No more than four people can stay at any time.
- No more than six people (including guests) can visit.
- Unless approved by us prior, quiet hours are 9 pm to 7 am.
- Pet fee (dogs only; we love cats but some of us are allergic!) is $40 per stay. Please indicate you have a dog at the time you request the reservation or do not bring your dog. Dogs must be in a kennel if left alone in the apartment. If you don't have a kennel, we can provide one upon request.
We live for new experiences and meeting new people. We like to build things, and we love our family (now 4 of us). We enjoy seeing the world and love to meet people that are seeing it.
