I love life and enjoy having fun on beautiful St. Croix. There is so much to do. Christiansted natural harbor has made it an important seaport since the 1700's. The beauty of the place is amazing and filled with historic colonial buildings and churches. In the Christiansted National Historic Site has old Danish Customs House, Fort Christiansvaern and the Government House, built in 1747, with its welcoming arms staircase. St. Croix is amazingly rich with beauty and history. Fredricksted, located on the west side of the island is beautiful. It was here that Danish Government Peter Von Scholter announced the proclamaiton of the emancipation of slaves in 1848. Other attractions include historic churches, and other colonial sites throughout the town, for example, Fort Frederik was build in 1752, steps from the Frederiksted Pier cruise ship dock. I just love, love, love St. Croix . There is so much to do and see. I enjoy going to the Whim Plantation Museum this authentic Danish sugar estate great house and factory ruins date back to the 1700s. Going to the St. George Village Botanical Garden is a wonderful experience with more than 1,500 native and exotic species of plants, this place offers a tour of St. Croix's nature and history.
