The farmhouse was built on a sun-drenched location in Nadur called Tax-Xemx. Aptly named ‘Dar ix-Xemx’ (House of the sun), faithfully depicting the guarantee of a daylong embrace by the sun.

Dar ix-Xemx consists of a rebuilt farmhouse, utilizing traditional materials to preserve the natural original aspect, but made comfortable thanks to the use of the most modern technologies. Among the original features one can find that the rooms are roofed over by means of timber beams and stone slabs.
