My place is close to Bossa Nova Civic Club, Silent Barn, and Archie's Bar & Pizza. My place is good for solo adventurers and business travelers. I live here, so listing is legal!

This is a room in a four bedroom duplex. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The kitchen, living room, extra bathroom are downstairs along with a bedroom. My room mate currently lives downstairs.

There is a separate entrance for the upstairs rooms and a shared balcony/mini fridge upstairs.

The space

Duplex with balconies on both floors and separate entrance for both floors! Can mingle with the community living here or have ultimate privacy upstairs.

Guest access

Kitchen, dining area, common area (downstairs) rooftop and balconies.

Interaction with guests

I interact quite often. Occasionally I work from home and may be in my room for extended periods of time.

Recommend, recommend! ROOM: Exactly as pictured. Balcony is definitely a perk with a peak of the Empire State building and a mini fridge. Bathroom is clean, awesome shower pressure. Full kitchen downstairs. HOST: Coco responded promptly and was super pleasant. Her cats are freaking adorable! LOCATION: Quiet. A block and a half from the L. Plenty of food spots/tiny bars nearby. I would definitely stay again if this is available. Great experience.

Coco's place was an AMAZING price value! Not only was it esthetically pleasing, the balcony attaching to the rooms an awesome touch! Coco goes out of her way to make you're comfortable, from offering multiple towels, soap, tooth brush, but she is genuinely a sweet person! Great conversations! BOOK THIS PLACE look no further! One of my favorite air bnb experiences

Coco is a great host, I really appreciated the stay at her apartment. Close to the apartment you'll find lots of small supermarkets, nice cafés for breakfast or cozy, local bars - not too many, it's not very touristic yet at this area (which I Iiked very much). Two subway-stations are within a 10-min walking distance, so it's very easy to get to Manhattan, too. Thanks, Coco!

I had a wonderful stay at Meow Palace. The apartment is ideally located in Bushwick very convenient to go downtown and in a neighborhood that has a lot to offer and a lot of character. Coco is an amazing hostess: very genuine, easy-going, flexible (she let me stay later so I could wait for my plane and we stayed together, which was lovely) very open. I wish I had more time to get to know her. The room is very comfortable: Coco has put a lot of work into her home and is improving it constantly. everything matches! (Down to the orange umbrella at your disposal which matches the tone of the room). You'll have at your disposal a whole kit of toiletries as well. And the lit balcony is lovely too! I HIGHLY recommend it!

I went to New York for the first time to see for myself if the place I dreamed about since I was a little girl is really the place to go, only to find for myself a second home in Meow Palace (it is a nickname for the apartment that you will soon be familiar with, I'm sure). Colette is the perfect host - welcoming, thoughtful, opened and friendly. My room was even better than I expected - cosy and warm, you can see right away how much heart was put into making you comfortable as a guest. You'll have an access to a cute balcony, large room with a kitchen downstairs as well as a rooftop. So comfortable! Aside form that I've met the most amazing, friendly people who are always there for you, you get to interact with the cutest trio of cats on the planet - Walter, Brooklyn and Maya, so prepare for a stay in cat person's heaven. There aren't enough words to say how grateful I am for the whole experience - if you're looking for a very pleasant stay and you love being surrounded by purring cuties - book it now! Actually, book it now anyway, Meow Palace will become your second home and Bushwick is amazing - very colourful and artistic. Hopefully, that was one of my many stays. 5 stars just ins't enough.

Hey there! After many successful years of hosting in the Lower East Side.. I have now moved my Air B and B adventures to Bushwick! I can currently book date up to a year in advance. After October I give preference to long term stays, (preferably over a month) but will consider short term as well. I am also very open to any Air B and B guests who would like to try out the place for a few months and then become regular room mates if they like the place.

If you like cats, stop looking at all the other listenings and book right now.
If you want the authentic New York experience, look no further..

I like to provide affordable accommodations to travelers that are reminiscent of the hostels I stayed in while traveling in Holland, Germany and Brussels. Near some amazing shops. restaurants, music clubs... not to mention the street art. The street art here is unbelievable! The neighborhood is extremely friendly and the most community oriented I have experienced in my 25 years of living in New York City. There are always interesting events to go to and people to meet here.

Also, I do everything legal and by the book. I live at the apartment, and while your payment helps cover rent, internet, towels, electric bill etc. I don't profit in anyway!

You will be staying with my room mate and most likely one other guest at any time. Many of my guests have made friends with each other and have stayed in touch.

The cats are Brooklyn and Walter, two senior cats that lived on the mean streets of Brooklyn for ten years. Brooklyn is deaf and meows loudly sometimes... for that reason my Air B and B has now been nicknamed "Meow Palace". Walter sleeps a lot and instantly wakes up the second someone opens a can of food. Then there is Mya... Mya is the new girl in town and now owns the place. If you are a cat person, there is a good chance she will seek you out and hang out with you.
