My husband and I invited family and friends to join us for a relaxing getaway. Villa Habana is perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. Frederik and Mette are amazing hosts and you can feel the love that went into building the villa. It is better than a luxury resort. Highly recommend it and we will be returning!!

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time at Frederik's place! The house and property offered so much space and freedom for us and the view is spectacular. We can't wait to come back!

What an amazing house!! It's everything you see in the photos and more. This house is wonderful for large gatherings. We had 12 old friends from high school and it felt very spacious. The view is stunning and we had so much fun using the kayaks and hot tub. You definitely want to cook for yourselves or hire a chef to come in because no local restaurant will match the view! Frederik is a wonderful host and very responsive!

This is a beautiful home in a gorgeous location! While we were unable to complete our stay due to a power outage that occurred less than two hours after we arrived, we did have the chance to explore the home and property. It's truly beautiful! The home is very high end in every way. And the grounds would be terrific for hanging out. There are multiple peaceful seating areas, a fun tiki bar that I wish we could have had sunset cocktails on, and what appears to be everything necessary for a fun day on the river (kayaks, canoe, life jackets,). Because we sometimes travel with older people and with our children, I will highlight a few facts that might matter. First, you definitely need to be able to do stairs to stay here. It's a three story home with three bedrooms on the ground floor (two queens, one with two twins). Up one flight is the main living level (which has the full bath that the ground level rooms would have to use). The top level has two bedrooms (both queens I believe) and the tv/lounge space. (No tv on main floor). The top floor master bedroom has another tv as well as an attached bath. The second bedroom on the top floor would have to use the bath in the master or go downstairs. I detail all this so that your group can determine if the layout of bedrooms and baths on different floors would work for you. Finally, I have to say Frederik is a fabulous host. Prior to the power outage (caused by an nearby car accident), we managed to lock ourselves out of the house. He responded promptly and had a plan to get us both a key and candles within ten minutes if we had decided to stay (our decision not to was due to our young kids' trepidation about being in a strange house with no power for an unknown amount of time...which ended up being at least twelve hours, we later heard). And he was very understanding about our decision to return home. We look forward to rescheduling and having a fabulous family vacation here in the future! In the meantime, we highly recommend it for your stay!

GORGEOUS PLACE INSIDE AND OUT!!!!! This location right on the river with access to the dock and boats cannot get better. We stayed here with our multi- generational family (7 yrs through 79) and all were happy. Lots of space for lounging, relaxing, together time and solitude. THANK YOU for the best place we have stayed for our yearly family reunion!!

This is a spectacular house! The owner has gone above and beyond your normal rental. It seems to be very consciously set up for the guests' total enjoyment. The architecture and interior design are especially tasteful. Amenities and maintenance, cleanliness, bed comfort are all excellent. Nestled in redwoods with a very generous gravel entry area, there is just the right amount of shade and yet light. There is a cozy, clean cottage with it's own bathroom and deck. Then a decorated spa area complete with a bar, shower, and lighting. With a fantastic, generous and great hot tub - recline and gaze up at the trees. A little down towards the river is a decorated Tiki Bar also with lighting and stools. Farther down is a fire pit with chairs, beyond that is a lawn with a hammock and chaises, and the dock is shaded with canoes and kayaks! Also, the house is three stories high so besides the view from the river's bend, there are also hawks diving into the river after resting about 20 feet away in the trees at the deck. Also sparrows, egrets, cormorants, turtles, duck families... So, yes - it's excellent. The one drawback, and it's why the view is so outstanding, is the proximity to the road. The cottage is closer. We all could overlook it after adjusting, as the payback is so worth it. Also, it quiets way down at night.
