My adobe casita is a special place – washed in sunlight, quiet and tucked into a half acre with grass, trees, flowers, rabbits and birds. It is 15-20 minutes from downtown Albuquerque and about 50 minutes from Santa Fe. Paths to walk on nearby and plenty of outdoor space in which to relax and soak up the sun. Mountain views, too. A perfect place to relax and enjoy New Mexico.

The space

Quiet, peaceful. A slice of the country in Albuquerque. This little building used to be a meditation hall, and it retains its zen calm, only now with a comfy bed, a reading nook and a patio table with mountain views for your coffee and tea in the morning. A kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, coffee maker and electric hot plate. Dishes, glassware and pots and pans for two. Very cold air conditioning and quiet, efficient and warm heater.

Guest access

We are about 15 minutes from downtown via I-25 and 50 minutes from Santa Fe. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta park is, literally, behind our house. A few minutes walk away.

Interaction with guests

The casita shares a half acre with our house, so we will usually be around to answer questions.

Other things to note

The casita has one queen bed; guests traveling with infants or toddlers are welcomed (and kids love our yard) but you will need to bring a portable crib or some other suitable sleeping accommodation.

The casita was absolutely lovely. It was clean, well decorated, and inviting. The yard was tranquil and beautiful- the perfect place to unwind after a long drive. We had everything we needed and our hosts were always reachable and happy to help. Would definitely recommend Leslie's place to anyone.

The casita is spotlessly clean & stylish. We were there for the Balloon Fiesta & Leslie was very helpful with our visit. Great place to stay !

Leslie's place is incredible. We were greeted and treated like we were family! Everything was beautifully decorated and super clean. Bed was very comfy, too. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area!

Leslie's casita was practically perfect in every way. Leslie was so accommodating of my delays arrival, and the check-in process is streamlined and convenient. The casita itself is sparkling clean, beautifully but simply decorated, and sumptuously comfortable. The garden provides a million dollar view for a fraction of the cost. This is a five-star listing at a very reasonable price point.

Whether you are visiting Albuquerque or Santa Fe, or even if you're on a road trip and need a place to stop, this place is perfect. It has all of the amenities and privacy you could hope for and the WiFi is strong enough to stream movies or TV shows on your devices. Though we didn't really need the A/C the whole time it worked perfectly. We couldn't have found a better place to stay in the area.

Leslie User ProfileLeslie is a superhost.

My husband and I came to New Mexico from the Midwest in 1982 and got trapped -- by the landscape, the history and the people. We are both writers. Also hikers who spend a lot of time in the mountains.
