Made a deal with her to stay long term. Resigned my position as a resident advisor in college. Moved in to her house, waited for 10 mins till she opened the door. After I stayed the first night and unpacked everything, I slept and went to school early morning the next day. I was …

It was your choice to leave early when I chose not to extend your stay. I told you in advance in order to give you time to make other arrangements. I would have been agreeable to a couple of extra days on me...but you bolted immediately and we're very brusque. I have plenty of honor and respect, but at the end of the day, if your stuff is in "storage" at my listing, you are technically staying there that entire week or month, trying to bargain down my weekly and monthly rate on the basis that you would only be there 4 days a week was unacceptable and unfair to me Good luck. I'm truly disappointed that we could not work something out.

Marie was kind, professional, and quiet. She also made sure I had breakfast in the morning, which I really appreciated. As mentioned in the post the space is a loft space, but it was a quiet home. I was able to relax inside, and walk in the Town Of Stamford comfortably. Her home …

The host was nice and very inviting and obviously had had experience with airbnb guests before. My main problem was my cot was extremely uncomfortable--and I'm used to roughing it--and the wall to my space consisted of a sheet which didn't offer much privacy at all.

Response from Marie:
I hope that your business visit to Stamford went well. To address your two "main problems": • The nature of a loft is that it is an open space. My loft space is divided into two areas: the front sitting area and the back curtained off sleeping area, which is also bordered by a leather sofa and a Chinese armoire offering yet another buffer. I would describe the curtain as being an attractively sheer (not see-through) designer curtain (Shabby Chick). There is also a room divider defining the two spaces and for more privacy. Therefore, the space is quite cozy, comfortable and offers relative privacy (given the constraints of a loft area), with the bare minimum of infrequent intrusions because of the open sitting area faces the winding loft stairs and banister. • The twin sized bed is cushioned by a down feather comforter and far from "roughing it", is reasonably comfortable; this was the opinion of my honest nephew. Finally, since you did not bring up any of these concerns during your time here, so there was no way for me to redress these "problems." I believe these were not the problem, so I will not offer recompense. We had minimal contact during your stay, but I do wish you all the best. Thank you.
