An immaculate, cosy but spacious property with superb views from both the living room and main bedroom over the Chalke Valley. Very handy for the village pub or trips to Salisbury and Shaftesbury. Great walks all around in the Chalke Valley. All the mod cons in the cottage, and so quiet. An ideal getaway.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at Sarah's converted Barn in Ebbesbourne Wake. We had booked for the weekend of our wedding and were looking for somewhere peaceful in the countryside to relax after the big day and the space and views were perfect! Sarah was the perfect host and kindly met us before our wedding to give us a quick intro. She also ensured we had milk, fresh bread, eggs from a nearby village and coffee and other bits we might need, which was hugely helpful. Sarah also (very kindly) gave us some Champagne to celebrate tying the knot which was a lovely surprise. Sarah also sent lots of useful information through beforehand, which included plenty of tips for great pubs to visit nearby. The property was beautifully decorated, spacious yet very cosy and the views across Wiltshire from either side of the property are absolutely stunning. A truly wonderful place to escape to in the country. We had such a wonderful weekend and and would not hesitate to highly recommend this to others - you won't regret it.

This property exceeded our expectations .... although the description and photographs were accurate it was the attention to detail that made this special place so lovely. From the beautiful décor, to the particularly well kitted-out kitchen, the really comfortable bed and top quality bed linen, snuggly dressing gowns, plentiful local provisions we felt really spoiled. The views from both ends of the property overlook fantastic countryside and Sarah, our host, could not have been more helpful .... providing clear directions and recommendations for things to do / places to eat nearby. We will be back.

We stayed at the Barn for a weekend away to celebrate my friend's birthday. The Barn is a wonderful place, located in a quiet and peaceful spot, it was perfect for a relaxing weekend. The views are spectacular! It is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The beds are all very comfortable and the bedding luxurious. The living room and a large comfy sofa and is great for chilling out in the evenings and we had full access to Netflix, Sky and lots of DVDs. The kitchen is very well equipped and Sarah provides all the basics, eggs, milk, bread and butter. We picked up the rest of our groceries from Salisbury on our way to the Barn. There are several supermarkets located close by though and Sarah has left clear instructions on how to get there. I can't recommend the Barn enough. If you want to escape to the countryside, this is the place for you! Finally, Sarah was a wonderful host and we just wanted to say thanks again!

Sarah's and Chris' place is absolutely wonderful...where do I begin. We Visited there for 2 nights (4th-6th August) with my girlfriend Hannah and another couple for a birthday surprise. As it was a surprise I informed Sarah on the day of booking and she was fantastic. She assisted with the surprise and arrangements from getting decorations for the barn to some champagne for Hannah on arrival. We arrived and were greeted by Sarah and her dogs and had all the amenities in the barn, from local jam and fresh bread to the cinema room downstairs. The barn itself was stunning, a big double room with beautiful interior with a second living area with a bed which was really comfortable. Downstairs we watched films on the settee which could fit all Four of us comfortably on large tv with surround sound speakers, we played table football and turned the music up loud - we were far enough away from Sarah's house to not disturb anyone in the main house. We had breakfast on the balcony and took in the countryside air. The views from the barn were magnificent, sweeping countryside everywhere you looked, no neighbours for miles and our own privacy. Sarah gave us some great recommendations for the local area and the pub at the bottom of the hill (the horse shoe) is a must to visit. A dreamy country pub with great food and a warm welcome by the landlord and his family behind the bar. Sarah was only a text away when we had a query of the area and could not have done more for us over the 3 days. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and enjoyed our stay to the point it was hard to leave! We will be back in the winter for sure and are already looking for dates we can do and will be recommending Sarah's place to our friends and family. Thank you Sarah!!! It's simply divine. 5 stars all around from Jack, Hannah, Liam and Roisin.

This was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Breaktaking views, with a stunning location & home. The host could not have been more welcoming and we had regular contact leading up to our stay. Everything was thought of and therefore our stay could not have been more perfect. Will definitely book again & couldn't recommend enough!

I couldn't fault a single thing about Sarah's beautiful barn! Her communication before was fantastic, answering all of our questions quickly and thoroughly, giving us directions and amazing restaurant recommendations. On arrival, Sarah was there to greet us and show us around the barn. Sarah is so approachable and friendly and a great knowledge of the local area. She left a lovely hamper of eggs, butter, jams, biscuits and a few other treats along with walking maps and bike trails for us. She also very kindly lent us her bikes for the afternoon! The barn had clean towels, a huge comfy bed, a hair dryer, reliable WIFI, a fully equipped kitchen and a great DVD collection (if you have a rainy evening like we did!) The barn is immaculate and so beautifully presented. The views are stunning and the surrounding area is equally beautiful. We can't wait to come back.
