This home is close to the airport, the city center, and parks. You’ll love the place because of the coziness and the location. The house is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
The home has a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, one bath and two bedrooms available and private to you. Both rooms are equipped with dressers and closets.
Guests are responsible for their own meals/groceries.
This is a quiet, chill neighborhood and given the outrageous prices for hotels and similar in this area, we are happy to open our home to guests for whatever reason.
Its important to note the downtown area is being torn up for various reasons (road and utility improvements). It's not uncommon at this time for people to be surveying or digging/using equipment around our home and others sporadically. This is also why all of our pretty flowers and beautiful trees have been mowed down.
Guests have an entire sequestered floor to themselves complete with a kitchen, dining room, living room, two bedrooms (queen beds, awesome mattresses) and one bathroom between the bedrooms. The space is private and has its own entrance.
We can accommodate more than four guests in special circumstances; please don't hesitate to ask!
As a reminder, this is a shared home, with part time habitants on another (separate) level.
Interaction with guests
It is our pleasure to do just about anything to help with the needs any guest might have. We can give tours of the area if schedules allow and area literature can certainly be made available.
We are pretty low key and won't be in the way of guests (unless we are needed). As longtime residents we are happy to offer information about the area or make local connections and introductions or answer any questions if need be.
We work very long and crazy schedules. We cannot always be on hand to entertain or formally welcome our guests. If we miss quality time with you somehow, we don't like it!
Other things to note
This home has a couple of fun projects in its future so as long as guests don't mind slightly outdated kitchen cabinets and a couple of original walnut doors in need of refinishing, an unfinished mud room, etc., this property is perfect for the traveler who appreciates a peaceful place to energize and save a chunk of change, all while experiencing Williston, North Dakota.
Although we are mid-remodel, guests continue to enjoy the space very much. We will eventually get around to hanging the art back up...a big work in progress!
We used to cook for our guests but have gotten away from it (for the time being). Come to find out the sheer amount of calories we consume aren't healthy. We still think you can be happy here...
A lot of first time visitors to the area are not aware that North Dakota leads second in the nation for oil production, behind Texas, and that Williston serves as the major artery to much of the drilling.
The area is very safe and uneventful despite how the media may have portrayed the town in the past.
The reservation needs to be made for the exact number of people who intend on staying in the home.
Guests may smoke outside only.
Read the entire listing before securing a stay with us and after booking, the entire house manual needs to be adhered to/read in advance.
