My space is a basement apartment: It has two very large rooms. One very large room has a bed and lounging area. The second room has a kitchen table, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot and snacks. The shower is located at one end of this space. There is a private entrance in from the outside, and even though it's in the basement, there is an egress window to let in light. It's clean, comfortable and spacious. Upstairs resident uses a walker, therefore, you may hear the walker.

Julia's place was a perfect spot for a brief overnight stay in Minneapolis. The neighborhood felt safe and was only approximately 15 minutes from the airport. The street parking worked out well. The space was very clean and well decorated. Not the mention, the bed & furnishing were comfortable. Julia also had excellent communication and was a great hostess. I recommend Julia's space for a clean, comfortable stay!

My husband just stayed one night at Julia's place. A very large bedroom in the basement of the house with a private entrance on the side of the house. Top quality pillows, fresh linens and hot water were perfect for this short stay. Lightning fast communication with Julia made this last minute booking possible. Next time that we are in town, we will surely stay at Julia's.

Julia's place is in a great location near downtown Minneapolis. A quiet neighborhood, with great walking potential. The space is large and comfortable, I always enjoy staying there. Julia is a great host, very easy to communicate with.

This small basement apartment was clean and well organized. Julia met me and showed me around including how to use the code to the door. ( side door private entrance). She communicated well before I arrived and even offered to let me get in a little early if I needed. The place was just a few minutes from the University of Minnesota, where I needed to go, so this worked out great for me. I would consider staying at Julia's place again if I go back to Minneapolis.

Julia was a good host! She was friendly and helpful, offering tips on local eats and transportation. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze. The space is private and clean. The sleeping area was comfortable (nice bedding) and had reading lamps on both sides of the bed. There was also a small desk, sofa, and rocking chair. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood just a few miles from downtown, making it an ideal spot for anyone who may find themselves in town for a night to attend an event.

Perfect place to stay the night, close enough to the city but in more of a residential area. Transit station ~1.3 miles away or could get cab to downtown. Place was clean and bed was comfortable. If planning on spending more time in the room than in the city, may be disappointed but great if you are just looking for a shower and bed with most of your time exploring the twin cities!

Hi! I am Julia. I've been a resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota since 1988, but prior that that, I lived in San Francisco (83-88). I went to the U of M in Comparative Literature for the years 1988 to 1996. For the last 20 years, I have shared spaces in New York, Long Island and Minneapolis. I swim a mile a day and do yoga. I like people and community, and music. My favorite books are about theoretical concepts; my food is usually organic.
As an Air B and B host, I want you to do your own thing. I want to know that you are comfortable and happy with your accommodations. My style of traveling is to stay with friends, relatives or camp.
