Lyn is a very nice and sweet host. My wife and I stayed for a 2 weeks during the craziest snow storms I’ve seen and she was very accommodating.

Response from Lyn:
As homeowner & on site host for complete strangers I try to offer a safe & home-like atmosphere for all my guests. I keep my suite clean every time in the same manor for all my guests. I do not allow animals/pets so the latent smells or dander, etc. ever bothers any guest or my own allergies. I always dust, vacuum & scrub(wax) floors directly after each guest checks out & then I vacuum again hours before my next guest arrives. The fridge & freezer are scrubbed after every guest. I even sanitize the door pulls & all knobs. No one has ever complained about cleanliness here. As far as odors go, every guest has sensitivity to something, I can not totally eliminate cleaning product smells or their cooking odor smells even if I always open windows to air out the suite before guests arrive & when they check-out. The suites bathroom is sanitized with non-abrasive cleanser & kept very clean. The suite has no basement area or living space above it, so there is never a moldy basement/attic smell. Of which I am sensitive to. We live on site, as I believe any responsible Airbnb host should. If there were any offensive odors I should have been told so right away. Instead I was told about a noise that no other guest has ever mentioned. The hot water radiant boiler makes a ticking noise when the baseboard pipes expand. I mention that tapping noise & where it comes from in all my suite tours to all my guests when they arrive. I tried my hardest, brought an extra outside technician in to hear the noise, only to hear that it was the noise radiant pipes make. Then never heard about it again. Now I read about "odor" under my cleanliness feedback. I am just wondering how hosting in our personal homes can be expected to please every guests sensitivities. Guests choose to stay in actual home-like situations for several reasons. Even commercial lodging has short falls. Airbnb hosts have to make their places succeed or they fail. Example; one guest mentioned he wished I had a larger bed. I list it as a queen size bed (there is only space for a queen size bed). Then why choose my place in the 1st place ? I allow for one vehicle/reservation, then why ask if a second can be allowed? I do not allow pets, then why ask if any animal can be brought into the suite? We as hosts can not please every guest but we can try to make your stay comfortable by addressing as much as we can in our listings. Guests need to read & understand the house rules & acknowledge they are staying in peoples homes. If you have issues with everyday, in-home occurrences perhaps a hotel is a better solution. I am sorry I could not eliminate sounds or smells during your stay. Believe me, if it was a possibility to make all smells & noises go away I would for all my guests & me too.

Lyn’s place was spotless and very welcoming. She asks for sheet preferences, beverages and room temperature. I felt very safe there and she even cleaned the snow off my car in the morning! What a nice surprise to start the day!!

This was an amazing find. I travel quite a bit to MN for work and have gotten tired of the hotel life. This beautiful suite was a home away from home. I could actually relax after a long day at the office. I’ll most certainly stay here from now on during my business trips to MN.

Pharoah- Many guests are wonderful, some are terrific & then there is you. A perfect traveler for us to host. You are happy when you are here being so far from your own cozy home. That is what I strive for. Please come back soon as you need to be here for work or a summertime vacation to the "Land of Lakes" we will make sure you are comfortable forever. Thank you for choosing our place in the 1st place ! (:+}lyn
