Welcome! Enjoy some much-needed privacy and comfort in this cozy abode in our Colonial New England farmhouse.

This comfortable apartment is pet- and kid-friendly, as well as cannabis-friendly, and just minutes (on foot!) from numerous hiking trails, less than a mile from beautiful Sebago Lake, and only a 10-minute drive to the towns of Gorham and Windham.

The space

This comfortable first-floor apartment comes well-stocked and ready for your stay!

The little kitchen is equipped for big cooking! We always make sure our guests have plenty of high-quality coffee, olive oil, and so on. Don't worry about food storage containers, hand soap, and all the easy-to-forget items - we've got you covered! We want our guests to be comfortable & happy.

We strive to minimally impact our natural environment, so we clean with safe and effective natural cleaners and provide guests with earth-friendly toiletries and sundries.

We'll always make sure you have
-Books, games, movies
-TV with Roku
-Coffee pot, stove with oven, fridge & freezer, tea kettle
-Closet space & dresser
-Fresh bed linens and towels
-Lots of cozy pillows and blankets
-Parking area (Bring your boat or snowmobiles! We have plenty of space!)
-Covered front porch for smoking, reading, and relaxing

Guest access

Guests get private use of the apartment with shared access of the porch and front entrance, spacious front and back yard areas (sorry, barn and garden are off-limits!), and parking area.

We offer laundry service to our guests for a small fee!

Interaction with guests

We're right across the hall if you need us, but we like to give our guests plenty of space.

We are animal lovers so if you're playing with your dog in the yard, we'll probably ask to say hello! You may see us working in the garden, mowing the lawn, or running around with our Great Dane puppy, Penny Lee.

Other things to note

This is a first-floor apartment, but you will need to climb a few steps to reach the front door.

While the apartment is kid- and pet-friendly, it's not toddler-proof. There are small things than can be eaten by kiddos or critters and the outlets are not covered. Please be sure to keep an eye on your two- or four-legged responsibilities.

We love our old house! The building is undergoing some renovations but this will not affect your stay in any way. You may find the hallway to be under renovation.

We had a great stay at Kristin's place. The location was great for exploring Maine, and we loved the thoughtful touches such as kitchen basics (coffee beans and grinder, spices, nuts, dry pasta, etc.) and treats for our doggie that were left out. The cottage was perfect for a relaxing and quiet getaway. Thank you Kristin!

This is a very rustic and quiet place to stay. My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was quite comfortable, especially the bed! There are plenty of places to explore in this area and you are only about a half an hour from Portland which is nice. Make sure you stop by Orchard Ridge Farm!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved the place. It is a very cozy dwelling, like the description says. Everything was very clean and environment friendly. There was shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. The TV had Roku with Netflix and Amazon prime. The kitchen had lots of snacks in little mason jars (chocolate pretzels, peanuts, sesame sticks) and coffee/tea. Kristin and Katherine were very accommodating. We asked for a late check out since we were going on a hike in the morning and wanted to shower before our trip back. Kristin responded promptly letting us know it was not a problem (no one had booked the day we left.) There is a booklet with suggestions for restaurants, cafes, etc in Gorham. We checked out two of the breakfast spots and they were amazing. Overall, we had an excellent stay. We even got a glimpse of Penny the Great Dane puppy. Absolutely adorable! Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Gorham!

A great place to sleep and relax about 15 minutes outside of town with a farmer's market down the road, an uber comfy bed, and tons of space for a short or long stay.

We adored Kristin's farmhouse apartment—it had everything we needed, from cozy bedding, thick curtains, snacks and whole-bean coffee, to soap, linens, q-tips, and spices! We felt instantly comfortable in the space, and departed feeling rested and refreshed. We appreciated that Kristin reached out ahead of our arrival time to share instructions on how to access the space late at night.

Hey there! I'm Kristin. My wife Katherine and I will be your hosts!

I enjoy spending my days hiking with Penny Lee, our Great Dane puppy. I also love to crochet and knit, cook creative vegetarian meals, read Tarot cards and meditate.

Hosting weary travelers is a true calling. We prefer to leave our guests alone and give them privacy, but are very happy to help should our guests need anything.
