The Junction, aptly named, is where the Wollondilly and Paddy’s Rivers meet at Canyonleigh. It is just 15 minutes off the expressway but private, secluded and a world away from city cares!

The house, a Richard Roe design, features ceiling to floor glass capitalizing on the sunny north facing outlook, with relaxing views over paddocks to the river and bush beyond. It is the ultimate modern retreat with clean lines, polished concrete flooring and lots of glass, bringing the outside in. Superior styling and inclusions set this property apart from all the rest and allow you to relax and enjoy holiday time in an aesthetic and soothing environment. The bedrooms all open on to the terrace with the same stunning semi-rural bush outlook.

Perfect for all seasons, the large open fireplace in the open plan living area is the focal point in winter and the air conditioning and ceiling fans will help you keep your cool in summer. Enjoy cooking in the modern galley kitchen with all mod cons and an oven that heats to 280 deg in 5 minutes! Choose to eat inside at the formal dining table or undercover, outside at the picnic bench with large BBQ. There is an assortment of books, up to date magazines, Foxtel, Satellite NBN, DVD’s, Wii and games so something for everyone!

There are 125 undulating acres on which to roam and picnic on and 3kms of river frontage with the rivers ranging from tranquil and picturesque to fast flowing, rapid and exciting. There is a deep swimming hole within 10 minutes’ walk of the house. Numerous communities of kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and wombats call The Junction home and if you are lucky you might even catch sight of the resident platypus. The Junction is an accredited wildlife sanctuary with “Land for Wildlife”, part of the NSW Waterways Programme and a conservation partner with the “Glossies in the Mist”: a project that aims to identify key feeding trees and maps nesting hollows to help secure foraging and breeding habitat for the Glossy Black Cockatoo within the Great Western Wildlife Corridor. A recent audit by the Community Environment Network on just one day found over 34 birdlife species in the protected corridor on the property, including many threatened species and the rare Pallid Cuckoo.

Take our picnic basket, billy tea can and Pioneer damper oven (find a damper recipe in the guest information folder at the property and the ingredients in the pantry) and lose yourselves completely! Toast marshmallows on the fire under the stars (there are no urban lights to interfere) and breathe……your holiday amongst the gum trees starts here!

• This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay.
• Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties. If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY with no refund of monies. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.
• Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.
• Out of peak season stays of a week or more may qualify for a discount, please send us a message.
• This property is NOT pet friendly.
• WiFi is not guaranteed. This is a service offered as a complimentary extra. As there is no charge for this service, we will attempt to fix issues as they arise but cannot be held accountable.
• To ensure the comfort of our guests and the neighbours, we do not accept bookings for "Schoolies" breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow weddings or parties of any sort.
• For your added security, this property is managed by a Licensed Real Estate Agent. We will never request payments be made to an overseas bank account and your money is held safely in our Trust Account until after your departure.

We had a great stay overall. There was a group of eight of us and the place had more than enough room. For sleeping, comfortably slept six people in beds with an air mattress and pull out couch accommodating two more. Great location and contemporary pad for enjoying a relaxing time away……. Shane
