My place is close to Iddesleigh - famous for the historical, thatched, Duke of York Pub & Restaurant - and for 'War Horse' author, Michael Morporgo. Iddesleigh is a delightful unspoilt village of thatched houses with panoramic views to Dartmoor.
There is the War Horse Farm Park 2.5 miles from my house and - a great place to visit.
My house has spectacular views and the setting is absolutely peaceful. The grounds are full of wild birds, deer, foxes and badgers. Walkers welcome!
My house is in a wonderful, peaceful location with amazing views to Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. The bedroom has a lovely warm, cosy atmosphere and you can lie in bed and enjoy the view.
Guests can use the sitting room and watch TV there. There is a lovely woodburning stove which I will light on request, during cooler weather. Guests can access the grounds of about 2.5 acres.
Interaction with guests
As your host I am happy to give advice during your stay.
- If bringing a dog - no more than two please. Dogs must be friendly and be OK with cats. Owners must clean up after dogs from the lawned areas. There are sheep in the surrounding fields, so all dogs must be kept on a lead, when outside.

I am a warm and friendly person who loves the countryside, walking, cooking and entertaining. I am interested in ancient history, archaeology, sociology, live music and film. I enjoy company but I am also happy doing my own thing.
