Great check-in experience

10 minute drive to downtown and central part of Los Alamos National Lab. There is a steep driveway and a set of stairs. Once in the room the bathroom is down a little hallway, maybe 10 feet with 3 steps. The room has a mini refrigerator, Keurig, small microwave.

The bath has towels, wash cloths, robes, soap, shampoo, conditioner.

Interested in meeting my goats, chickens and llama, I have an AirB&B experience.

The space
I think the best part about this room is the outside entrance. It gives a person more privacy coming and going. Based on reviews, people like that. Sometimes we meet guest, sometime not. The room has a queen size bed. We are early risers and our bedroom is above this one, something you should know if you are a light sleeper. The room does have a sound machine. PLEASE NOTE we do not have air conditioning. Los Alamos is at 7,500 feet. June is very hot, but the rains that usually come in the afternoons in July and August cool things down.

Scott and I have lived in Los Alamos 20 years. We both work at Los Alamos National Lab. I work in the Materials Science and Technology Division helping them with environment, safety and health issues. Scott worked in Physics Divisions for 20 years and has now moved over to the weapons world. About a mile from our house, there are one-hundred 1/3 acre lots that Los Alamos County rents mainly to horse owners. On my lot there I have chickens, dairy goats, two sheep and a llama. The bedroom I have put on here is one of our son's rooms. We are empty nesters now. We do have two bunnies that have free roam of the house downstairs. If you are a student looking for a place, hit the contact host button and we can talk about a reduced rate.

During your stay

I am more than happy to tell you about Los Alamos, what there is to see here and what it is like to live here. I would say though that we only meet about half the people who stay.
