Having spent five nights at the Jack Sparrow house we are of the opinion that a shorter stay would have been more acceptable. Although appreciating that some people may find driftwood attractive having the cooker and sink on top of a driftwood frame seemed impractical and unhygenic, as the plates and cooking gear was inches from the dusty floor and with the toilet only feet away with no door or extractor! There is very little space to put anything or hang anything which made it seem cramped and untidy especially when we came back wet and or dirty from walks! It does have a very comfortable bed which is reached by a short ladder which we found quite good but a challenge in the middle of the night. The shower is a horsebox which was a little way from the house and although it gave a good hot shower my wife did not enjoy the experience as her clothes got damp with the steam and the shower is also shared with other guests. Quite an expensive experience!

We had such a great time staying at Jack Sparrow House. It's absolutely gorgeous. Communication from the host was great, sending detailed directions which made it much easier to find! We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown around the place. We enjoyed a great meal at the Five Pilchards in Porthallow before heading back to jack sparrow house for wine by the fire under the full moon. Had a great nights sleep... its so cosy and cute! Breakfast at fat apple cafe is a must! Would highly reccomend staying here.. we hope to return. Thanks so much for a wonderful time!

Had a wonderful stay in the Jack Sparrow house. It was a fairy tale setting very quiet and secluded. The horse box shower was different but great! Loved every moment. Will definitely be back to stay again.

Upon arrival the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The house is sooo beautiful and as described! Small and cost, it was perfect for 2 people! The only negative I could think of was that it wasn't easy to keep tidy during our stay as there is nowhere to store luggage bags. The bed is very comfortable and felt a real treat to stay in! The horse box shower was also a great quirky idea! During our stay we visited the five pilchards inn for our evening meal which I would highly recommend! The menu changes daily depending what fish they catch so you know it's fresh! We also visited kynance cove which is an absolute must - 40minute drive. And lizard point was also very picturesque. Thank you for everything.

we stayed with our dog here for a weekend and we couldn't t fault it. We were shown around the site straight away and told how everything worked. The house is as lovely as the pictures show and it was a great and unique experience. You can see the beach out of one window and cows out the other! There are several beaches near by. The shower was just across the garden and was easy to use. The local pubs were really nice and dog friendly. There are plenty of places to visit such as the roskillys farm, kynance cove and coastal walks to lizard. The bed was really comfy and so cute with all the lights. The host provides games, puzzles and books in the house and lots of thought has gone in to the decoration. We will definitely return and maybe try the tree house! Thanks for a lovely stay, Robyn and Ben.

PROS - The Jack Sparrow House is a 10/10 for quirkiness and look. It's like being in a fairy tale! Would be awesome for kids and it's very romantic for couples. The little hut is well equipped and many nice touches. The separate shower in the horse box is a few metres away and it's quite (URL HIDDEN) is also shared with the Tree house guests... Welcoming members of staff. Feels quiet and secluded. CONS - aside from the fun it is quite expensive for what you get. There is no hot water in the hut and be very careful when you drive up to the allocated parking bay as the slope is steep! That said they let us park near reception. A tiny cute space which may not be ideal for a long stay but definitely fun for a weekend.

I live on the Lizard peninsular, as I find this area one of the most inspirational in the UK. I am an artist/builder who creates spaces of light and beauty. My aim is to welcome you into a dwelling for your pleasure and relaxation. I enjoy using ideas of times passed and endeavor to achieve an ‘other worldliness’ in my work.
I spend my time in constant contemplation of the next project in mind. Other than that you can find me enjoying music and dance, or Cornish coastal walking with my partner and dog.
