Welcome to La Boca Beach Village!

A small seaside village conveniently located only 5 km from lively Trinidad and 7km to World famous Ancon Beach, here's La Boca.

La Boca Beach village boasts a beach — La Playita —, a small restaurant and bar, two paladares, a small grocery store (in pesos only), and the fishing boats anchored on the river. Most of all, the scenic Escambray mountains in the background and sea for miles of water to see.

La Boca's little beach is at the mouth of the Guaurabo river, where the fishing boats are parked; it’s almost in its original state and it constantly changes with the tides and the water coming from the river. Some describe La Playita as a little “pebbly” but with its many coves and tranquil waters, it offers great snorkeling and consistently delivers gobsmacking sunsets. Do not miss it! The nearest gold sand beaches are Maria Aguilar, Piscina Natural, and famous Ancon Beach.

-Internet is only available in designated wifi spots throughout the island. The nearest wifi to La Boca is in Trinidad. You will need to purchase a $2 ETECSA card that will allow 1 hour of connection.

-The government of Cuba requires licensed guesthouses to record their guest's passport info, along with arrival and departure dates, and report it to the local immigration offices within 12hrs of their guest's arrivals and pay the required fees. So upon your arrival please present your passports to the host so they can create a log. This is the law and is normal for ALL licensed guesthouses in Cuba.

Great house! Loved the view from our upper patio looking out onto the ocean. Short drive to Playa Ancon (~7 minutes), Playa Maria Aguilara (~3 minutes) or into Trinidad (~10 minutes). Food was amazing at the house, both breakfasts and dinners. Host family was very warm and friendly, eager to help us line up a guide for the city tour etc. Even jumped in the car to navigate to closest gas station when we returned one evening on fumes. Highly recommend.

Alina and her family was welcoming and ready to help us with anything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Nevertheless, this hostel offers rooms for guests with a beautiful terrace, however as described "At Hostal Ocaso you will have complete domain of the main house" is misleading. The guests only have access to their rooms and not the house ( all rooms have independent entrances), so no kitchen or living room access is available. The closest beach within walking distance is not recommend for tourists to swim in. But there are several other ones that are beautiful, which can be reached by bike or with a taxi. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with Air-conditioning and en-suits.

Response from Tanya E:
Hello Cosima, We are glad you had a great time at El Ocaso. Please be advised that a kitchen is not advertised anywhere in this listing and the dining room and living areas downstairs are open to all guests. When we write "you will have complete domain of the house" means that you will not be sharing with other travelers. In Cuba's "Casas particulares", there is always a host in the Casa. Alina enjoyed hosting you and we look forward to your visit in the near future. Tanya E.

This home was lovely and wonderful respite in the Boca area. We recommend a stay here, and our charming host was extremely hospitable and available to answer any questions we had (if you speak Spanish). Her cooking is fantastic too!

This place is beautiful! Its about 10-15 minutes outside Trinidad and slightly off of the beaten path but well worth it! The house is beautiful and surrounded with flowers and thick, green grass. There are rooms both down stairs and upstairs. The upstairs terrace has a view of the ocean. It was lovely to sit and enjoy the breezy evenings. The rooms were spacious, charming and very clean. Each room had a refrigerator, air conditioning and a bathroom. I was very happy and felt very comfortable. Our host was very warm and always greeted us with a smile and open arms. We had to leave very early one morning so Tanya woke up early, packed us some fruit and pastries to go and sent us off with a smile. I definitely recommend staying here!

Very nice place, bike ride to the hotel beaches was easily doable. Trinidad was rough. The casa came with every service you could think of (meals, bikes, wash) no wifi though. The host we're very nice and helpful, would most likely stay here again.

Response from Tanya E:
Hello Michael, Thanks for booking with us-- Trinidad can be a bit "pushy", but it has lots of charm and culture to make up for it. Hopefully next time you come visit us there will be wifi in Cuba! Tanya E.
