David was exactly the kind of host that you want. He is warm, friendly, and generous. He even went as far as offering food and drink while we talked in the kitchen. His house offers a ton of space as it offered 3 rooms to choose from to sleep in. The basement offered a variety of activities to do for free. I think that this would be ideal for families with kids that don't mind a lived in feel to the house. My main disappointments were that 1) the pool was closed for the season and 2) the house was incredibly dated. I chose this option based on the hot tub, fireplace, and pool. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and I liked that there were so many amenities that we could choose to explore St. Louis or stay in. I even checked the weather ahead to see if it was worth spending the extra money on a place with a pool. Since it was going to be 85 and 89 all weekend I booked. I should have messaged David before bookingto ensure that it would be running in October. Lesson learned. Like wise, I was under the impression that it was close to the city based on the description. Again, I should have taken the 2 minutes to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) it. It's about 45 mins from all the action in St. Louis. Again, lesson learned. My actual disappointment and surprise was from the house itself. It was pretty clean and it smelled nice, but it was very outdated. Everything from stained lace doily curtains, to faded wall paper. It was like everything was furnished with cheep garage sale finds. No real judgement there. That's my home too. Hand me down furniture and Thrift Shop stuff. I just expected that it would be more elegant for $170. We decided to leave early because it wasn't setting the mood that you look for in a get away weekend. Again, David was an excellent host. Honestly, if it was a different kind of trip I wouldn't have cared at all. It is very family friendly. Also, if you do stay you must go to the German coffee house! Best coffee house I ever been to period! It also is a self serve beer bar in the evening. Loved it!

Club Craig was great a very nice home and great host

David was really a host of all host. Hey went above and beyond every day I stayed. I honestly couldn't have asked for anything better. The amenities are amazing and as stated, David is just out of this world as a host. I will be staying there again the next time I am in the area. Thank you David for everything! Including the surprise breakfast!

My boyfriend and I made a quick trip down for the eclipse, so we only needed a place for the night before, however we wish we could have stayed longer! David was a very kind and thoughtful host and the pool looked so nice! We were bummed we didn't have time to try it out. The lack of internet was actually really nice too. Felt good to unplug a little. We both live pretty far from our family, so when I say it was like staying at our parents, I mean that in the best way possible. The bed was super comfortable too, with memory foam pillows! Would definitely recommend, and there is a Mister Donuts near by too, so, if you like donuts, definitely hit that place up.

I am retired, but I still work two part time jobs. I like organization, movies, reading Stephen King Books, traveling to Indiana to visit my family or to see friends. And I love to eat out at good spots.

As a guest at Craig Manor, my guest receive person attention. They are asked in advance what their favorite snack or beverage may be, and that is usually there for them. There is a Care Taker Staff member on sight. Guest should ask that because if that is there preference there are a lot of selections to chose from. Craig Manor has staff on site.
