The place has a loft that has a king size bed and bunk bed, Calling it 2 BR isn’t really accurate. If you like privacy while sleeping you won’t get it as it’s a loft above the LR and really one bedroom with a block of closets trying to divide the loft space in 2. It’s a bit dat…
Response from Micaela:
Mark left because his family was terribly rude and we called him on it. His adult sons arrived each night via Uber after 2 am and loudly went down the driveway--obviously drunk. But his wife pulling into the driveway and honking loudly and obnoxiously long at my husband who was loading our vehicle in the rain was the final straw. Rather than just patiently waiting less than a minute or speaking to him, she honked and then yelled at me that she "was renting" and therefor deserved unfettered access to our driveway at all times. I called Mark on it--the audacity of his family. He didn't apologize for the rudeness--rather cancelled and ran away. I believe our description and positive reviews make it clear that this is a converted barn, that the hay loft is the bedroom/full bath space and that the sleeping area is divided by large closets that divide the former hay loft. It is open to below in the master area. The former stalls are living and dining rooms. There's a full kitchen and a half bath. Our towels are not even 6 months old. A couple do have some bleach marks. Our sheets and bedding is always clean and in good condition. This is a case of a rude, obnoxious, self absorbed family being called out on their behavior and cowardly leaving without even a word and then slamming us with a negative and undeserved review. I'd suggest you read the many positive reviews from satisfied guests who viewed this platform as an alternative to hotels that allow people to enjoy each other and their differences.
We were traveling with a 1.5 year old toddler and had a great time. Tips for family travelers: there's a spiral stair that is not safe for toddler, need to keep an eye on the little one. Room and bath is spacious but there's no door isolating the two bedrooms as well as the livin…

This is incredible to me that a guest who can clearly see our pictures and the spiral stairs would then suggest a safety concern. We have had MANY families with young children enjoy their time in our barn. Maybe we'd feel differently if Wanchen had been courteous during her stay...but after she never parked in the barn's parking space and often blocked our driveway, after she left lights on day and night and heat high even after she left--the idea that she would suggest issues with the sweet converted barn is terribly disheartening.
I'm Micaela. I mostly use Airbnb for my company's travel needs. Although, occasionally, it's family travel that brings me here. Laid back, quiet and clean is how our 3 Airbnb properties come across and that's what I look for when a guest. I've been a host for 3 years with plent…
