Tucked inside a traditional tenement on Szpitalna Street, this two-bedroom apartment trades a street view for genuine quiet, just a few hundred meters from the Main Square. Air conditioning runs in every room, a rarity for a building this old, alongside a washer-dryer and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Sleeps five across two bedrooms and a sofa bed, with self check-in and reception on hand daily for anything you need.
The space
Szpitalna Street runs right past the Słowacki Theater, close enough to the Main Square to feel like the center of things without actually facing onto a busy street. The apartment sits toward the back of the building, looking onto the courtyard instead the kind of detail that matters more than people expect once the evenings get lively outside.
Air conditioning in every room is genuinely unusual for a tenement of this age, and it's paired here with a proper kitchen setup rather than the stripped-down kitchenettes common in older Old Town buildings. The lift uses a fob kept inside the apartment, so the very first trip up means the stairs after that, it's simple.

Szpitalna Street runs from the Small Market Square (Mały Rynek) up toward Planty, parallel to the more famous Floriańska a block over a quieter alternative covering much of the same ground. The name goes back to the 13th century, when a hospital and monastery run by the Duchacy order stood along this stretch; before the Second World War, the street was known instead for its secondhand bookshops and antique dealers, many run by Jewish families whose shopfronts once lined these same buildings.
Walking toward the Old Town from the apartment, you'll pass the Kamienica Hipolitów, a former merchant's townhouse that now houses a branch of the Kraków History Museum, and the Baroque St. Thomas Church a little further along. The street ends practically at the doorstep of the Słowacki Theatre, one of Kraków's grander 19th-century buildings, with Planty Park's greenery just beyond it. In the other direction, it's a short walk to the Small Market Square itself smaller and less crowded than the main Rynek, but with its own cluster of cafés and restaurants.
