Have the attic rooms to yourself on five acres only 10 minutes out of town and experience the country! The river and the trans Canada trail head are only a five minute drive. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the horses and fruit trees. The two bedrooms in the attic are separated by folding doors. Use both rooms or just one. Ideal for friends traveling together or a parent and child.

I have another listing available if you are traveling with friends.

Guest access

You have the attic space to yourself and are welcome to share the kitchen, bathroom and living room on the main floor with me and any guests staying in the main floor bedroom.

Interaction with guests

I live in the house and am available to answer your questions or give you directions to amenities in the area. I spend most of my time outside with the horses so you have a lot of privacy.

Heather's accommodation is tidy, well-appointed and in a pleasant part of the countryside. I very much enjoyed my stay for a nearby wedding that I attended.

We really enjoyed our stay at Heathers place. Heather is a very friendly host and she shared the kitchen, bathroom and living room with us. We even could wash our clothes. It's a lovely house that lies at the Gibbins Road which leads directly to Duncan. So it's very convenient and only takes 10 minutes into town by car.

We had a lovely time staying at Heather's property. The beds were cozy, the room was calm, restful and comfortable, and we were able to have a genuinely pleasant break with our 3 year old, who was a huge fan of the horses and chickens. Heather gave us both the warm welcome and the privacy we wished for. Also, having access to her kitchen allowed us to cook and enjoy family meals in a homey environment.

We loved staying here! Heather welcomed us into her charming farmhouse and gave us lots of ideas for hiking and exploring in the area. It was the perfect starting point for numerous day trips. Will definitely come back if we're ever on the island again!

Heather's place is a great stay if you like farms and nature. She was not here during our visit, but her friend Mae was very welcoming.

I'm a fun and friendly hobby farmer on Vancouver Island. I am learning about permaculture gardening and I share my five acres with two horses and five bantam chickens. I teach liberty horse training workshops and lessons where people learn to influence horses through a relation…
