Escape to Nature in beautiful Dimmingsdale close to Alton Towers, surrounded by forest. Stay under the stars in The Hut, our two shepherd huts braced together to give a roomy luxurious space, with separate bedroom and bathroom. The Kitchen/lounge area has a beautiful kitchen with cooking range. The hut is situated down the field on our farm and allows guests a private space with their own decking area, gas bbq, outside seating area, garden with private fire pit and private wood fired hot tub.

The space
On our beautiful farm close to The Peak District and Alton Towers, we have braced two shepherd huts together to make one luxurious space in a private space with private log fired hot tub. The Huts are situated down our field surrounded by forest and facing south west so you can enjoy the evening sun. We have built a large decking area for private outdoor seating, a gas bbq and a log fired hot tub. (N.B The price of our Huts has not increased to provide a hot tub, it will be cleaned with fresh water , however logs to heat it will need to be brought separately)
The garden area has a private fire pit. All with lovely views of stone walls, fields and forest. We have tried to make this space a place you hopefully won't want to leave.

The first Shepherd hut is housing the handmade farmhouse kitchen with Belfast sink with hot and cold running water and one ring gas hob. There is a log fired cooking range for cooking a roast dinner in the oven and some pot meals on the hot plates. You can warm yourself whilst seated at the inside dinning area which also has a large sofa which converts to a small double bed suitable for 2 children or a single adult (unless you like getting cozy).
The brace to the second shepherd hut is is where you store your coats and shoes and a Coleman extreme cool box (which with plenty of ice blocks provided will keep your food and drink cold for up to 5 days.)
The second shepherd hut is the double bedroom with ensuite shower room. Here you have a standard double bed with goose and duck down quilts and 100% Egyptian cotton bedding and a wardrobe, side tables and lamps.
The shower room has a large shower cubical with on demand hot water and sink and a flushing toilet. The Huts is powered by Solar power with lovely lighting and USBs for charging your phones. (You will need to conserve power during the winter months to ensure the solar battery does not run down). As the huts is off grid please don’t bring hairdryers or any devises that require mains power. All pots, pans, crockery and cutlery are provided. Parking is on the drive so not near The Hut so please use the wheelbarrows provided to transport your belongings. Have Fun.

2 miles from Alton Towers. 7 miles to The Peak District and Dovedale, 9 miles to the nearest railway station. Cheadle 3 miles, Uttoxeter 9 miles, Ashbourne 9 miles, Leek 9 miles.
Majority off road walking to 6 pubs. Miles of beautiful off road walking forest tracks and hill walking straight from the door. Home to bouldering, mountain biking and excellent horse riding as we are on the Sabrina Way.

Married to Andy and has 3 lovely daughters, loves horses , country living and holidaying in croatia. We have lived at our small holding for 17 years and lovingly look after our 4 horses, 5 sheep, 3 dogs and 7 chickens. We are all mad about the countryside and love going on long distance horse rides , staying in bed and breakfast and pubs as a family over the Peak District which is on our doorstep. When we are not at home we are enjoying our holiday home in Croatia, where we soak up the sun and enjoy spending time with the fabulous Croatian people and drinking the top class wine. Andy my husband was a fireman for 30 years and my 3 daughters are at school, and university.
