Second time I have stayed there. Great host. Old fashioned and welcoming is how I would descrbe the house. Great shower. Basic but comfortable room. I was there for work purposes so location was just perfect. Thanks again hope to come back soon

If you are visiting the Detroit area this an excellent place to stay. It is in a quiet, safe, and convenient area close to everything but personal transportation(or Uber/Lyft) is a must due to minimal bus service in the area. The host Julie is simply amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. She has a good spirit, a very diversified musical collection and was available to answer any questions that you may have on area events and offer any assistance that you may need. I will definitely stay again if I am in the Detroit area.

This is a fantastic place in Grosse Pointe Detroit to explore the interesting city of Detroit and everything the city has to offer. And that are many things. Julie is a fantastic host, who has a lot of humor. She helped me out a lot and giving me good recommendations where to go in the remarkable city. Thanks to you Julie Stan

I was visiting for an event in Grosse Pointe Woods, and the location of Julie's house was perfect. Julie was a wonderful host and told me about restaurants and shops near the house. I enjoyed seeing the ongoing renovations of the 100+ year old farmhouse, which is charming and comfortable.

Julie User ProfileJulie is a superhost.

I love to sing, perform, travel, be outside, ride my bike, laugh with friends. I love kids. I have two sons in their 20s. I speak Spanish & English. I've been a teacher quite a bit. I love good food. I love to read. I listen to NPR. My favorite public radio program is probably "Wait Wait! Don't Tell Me!". I also like "This American Life", "Fresh Air", and Moth stories.
Loved "Arrested Development", "Monty Python", SNL, "Shawshank Redemption", "To Kill a Mockingbird". Love foreign films. One of the most powerful I've ever seen is "In a Better World".
Lived, traveled, and worked in Europe for 2 1/2 years when I was younger. Lived and worked in Nicaragua for 1 1/2 years. Lived in Durham NC for 1 1/2 years. Otherwise I've lived in Detroit all my life
I have little tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, class-ism, age-ism, glorification of violence, or exploitation of the earth's natural resources.
