We stayed for 5 nights at this lovely place, hidden high above the village of Arcambal. It's in a great location for exploring the Lot. Valerie and Guy were friendly and helpful but gave us our space. We loved the gite, which was modern, had everything we needed and was very clean and easy to live in. The stocked coffee machine and breakfast groceries, including homemade jams and local honey, were an unexpected bonus. The outside space and pool with jacuzzi is perfect for relaxing, and we were often joined by their lovely cat. Their recommendation for the Sunday market at Concots was great - it's very small and rustic but perfect for a spot of people watching with a coffee- then we took the scenic road to Saint Cirq Lapopie and had a fabulous lunch at L'Oustal restaurant. All in all, we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.
Valerie's apartment was a lovely relaxing place to stay and Valerie and her husband were very welcoming. It's worth keeping in mind the nearest tourist sights are a drive away. It was perfect for my husband and I with a well equipped kitchen and a few essentials such as butter and some breakfast supplies. We'd definitely recommend it to other people and would love to stay again if we're in the region!
We spent four nights at Valerie and Guy's place and the only way to describe was - fantastic. Valerie made us very welcome and had left bread, butter, preserves, fruit, milk, water and even a couple of bottles of beer for us. The apartment was very well fitted out, the bed was comfortable and we wanted for nothing. There is not a lot to do around Arcambal, so Les Parrots is a good place to unwind, chill out and forget about the world for a few days. As the weather was really hot when we visited, having access to the swimming pool was a real pleasure. Cahors is not very far away and is well worth a visit. The old, eastern part of the city is very attractive. Would we recommend Les Parrots - absolutely. Regards William and Siobhán Ireland
