The space

The Apple Tree Inn is a comfortable home with all the amenities needed to stay for a night, a weekend or a week. It is a split level style house with 3 levels open for use. It includes a nice sized, fully functional kitchen with a dining room, 2 large living spaces, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. There are patios in both the front and back to relax and enjoy the summer days and evenings, a large back yard for activities, a propane BBQ grill and a fire pit with ample wood for enjoying an evening around the fire. In Panguitch we are on a secondary water system and are allowed to water our lawn one day (24 hr period) a week. Each year that day changes. There will be someone coming by to maintain the lawn, turn on/off and move the sprinklers on this day. Please do not turn off the water or move the sprinklers as this is what keeps our yard looking nice for everyone. We apologize for this inconvenience if you are there on that day. Just inside the front door there is a closet where you will find coats/jackets/hats, etc in a variety of sizes. It can suddenly get cold there and if your not prepared, it can be miserable. These are provided as a convenience. Please feel free to use what you need but return to the closet when checking out. The refrigerator contains a variety of condiments. These have been left there for your use.

Guest access

We are not at the property. When you arrive at the house there is a lockbox just inside the front screen/glass door on the door frame. On the day of arrival, I will give you the code to access the key to the house. Once you have let yourself it, please, return the key to the key box. In the kitchen, on the red wall, you will find a flower hook where a key with a tab reading COLES will be hanging. Use this key during your stay as it will be easier to keep track of. When you are leaving the property on the day of check out, please return the key to the hook. Guests have access to most of the house. The parts that are off limits have locks on the doors. Those areas are used for storage.

Interaction with guests

Im not currently living in the area but am available anytime by phone, text or email to answer any questions/concerns you may have about the house or Pangutich and the surrounding area. I am from UT so am very knowledgeable about most of what the state has to offer and how to get around...ask me anything and I'll try to help. My property Manager lives right next door so if there is an immediate need she is close by to offer assistance.

Other things to note

During the summer months in Panguitch, you can expect warm days and cool nights. Most homes here don't have air conditioning as it is generally not needed. (there are some nights that it gets a little warm, so we open the windows and turn on the ceiling fans) During the summer months we get the monsoons that come through many afternoons so come prepared for thunderstorms. They come fast and suddenly they are gone. Please as you are hiking in our narrow canyons, check the weather as these weather events can create dangerous flash flood conditions. The spring and fall seasons are beautiful. Days and nights are cooler than summer. All three seasons are great for hiking, biking, ATV riding, etc. Winter in Panguitch is cold and you can expect occasional snow. Winter in our area brings with it new recreation opportunities. Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyons, although chilly are beautiful with a dusting of snow. Panguitch Lake is famous for it's ice fishing and Brian Head is just an hour drive from Panguitch. Brian head offers skiing, snowboarding and tubing. One last thing to be aware of is the wildlife. It is all around us here, including on the roads. Be cautious when driving!

Deb's house was quite roomy and well supplied with nice amenities. Our family enjoyed the backyard fire pit and close proximity to the local grocery store. Panguitch is a very small town without many shops or dining options-especially as the the tourist season begins to wind down in October. It is about a 25 minute drive to Bryce Canyon.

We like the house very much, there is even a football grass ground. There are 4 bedrooms, I like the one with a horse most.

Deb was a wonderful host, from the very beginning she was attentive to my questions, especially when you're booking last minute it really helps to get answers right away. Her home was lovely, if you're travelling with a big family, you will find everything you need! Unfortunately we could not enjoy all the amenities due to our late travels, but she has a wonderful backyard where everyone can enjoy. The house was very warm and inviting and was perfect for a pitstop in our camping trip to refresh ourselves. Just a note for anyone going there to follow the written directions instead of (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps because it leads you to the wrong house, especially if you're arriving at night. Other than that, I would not hesitate to recommend this place. Thanks again for your accommodation.

People in neighborhood are very friendly. Wish house had AC. Other wise well equipped. Living room table not good for little one who crawl. The decorative spikes along sides of table dangerous. Other wise good place to stay
