Shape your guest experience in a 180sqm property boasting period furniture and a killer balcony view on the most iconic old town's square. Heritage sites like Giotto's frescoes are within walking distance, as well as the best spots for foodies and winelovers, while a brightly coloured market takes place every day right at the doorstep. No traffic area, the railway station is just a short stroll away. Discounted rates are available in a closeby parking. WiFi, a/c, laundry room. Up to 6 people.

The space
A lodger once wrote: "The view is mesmerizing. The balcony doesn't really face the square, it's right on it. You're so incredibly close to the market stalls or the cafe tables that if you keep staring down.. the square swallows you up". I wouldn't go so dramatic, but the balcony view is definitely a key factor.

Where you’ll be

Padua, Veneto, Italy

At the end of the sixteenth century, when Italy was a land of kings and knights vying for the crown, in his play "The Taming of the Shrew" William Shakespeare pictured Padua as the "the nursery of arts". At the time the walled dukedom of Padua stretched for less than half a mile from Piazza dei Signori, the square where my place is. Even then a curious foreigner could pay a visit to the unique Scrovegni Chapel, adorned with Giotto's marvellous frescoes, or walk down the ghetto's cobbled alleys to sit in the shade of the world's oldest bothanical gardens. And maybe bump into Galileo Galilei, the father of western modern science, Professor at Padua's glorious university, watching up towards the sky with his own invented telescope. Since then little if nothing has changed (except for Galileo that unfortunately died in 1642 ;-), so you probably should come over and check it out for yourself! And while you're at it, taste your way to the most delicious italian food. In Padua the art of cooking definitely pairs with the art of eating ;-)

Free lance journalist, I grew up listening to my grandfather's stories about a talking carrot and its troublesome playmates in the vegetable garden. Now I cover Balkans politics and I can tell there's no big difference. Single, opinionated about love, I learn from mistakes of others who take my advice ;-) I'm always up for a trip to anywhere, a nomad in search for the perfect pizza. And if you've got something to apologize for, a red wine good bottle will make do. Welcome to Padua!
