"This is our 4th French "gite" and the best yet. Very well equipped throughout and the indoor/outdoor space by the pool meant we could eat "out" in the heat of the day and when it rained ! (the rain in our first week was the first we'd seen for weeks and the first here apparently since Mid-may)...
...From the house we've seen rabbits and sheeps and have been woken up in the morning by woodpeecers "head banging" ... We thoroughly enjoyed the Marché des producteurs de pays (market) Don't have your tea before you go, you can have as many courses as you like, cooked on the stalls on site by local producers...aligot, sausage, wine, crêpes...all in a very convivial atmosphere and ou might even meet your neighbours at the table at the market 2 days later ! The market in Villefranche de Rouergue is big and busy...The center of the market is in Place Notre Dame and we enjoyed lunch one day in "les Arcades" overlooking the place.....
We would like to thank René and Annie for their unobstrusive hospitality (and fresh vegetables left by the gate) and would draw future visitor's attention to Annie's paintings hanging around the house."

"As previous guests have said this is a wonderful place to relax. We have really felt at home here and hope you do too. Our 5year old learnt to swinm in the pool wich is just right temperature on a hot day. We gathered wood from the countryside and burnt that on the barbecue wich worked very well. If you have children we recommend the wild life park at Pradines and the caves at Foissac. You have to visit the market at Villefranche on thursdays but set off early to get a parking space. It is a real market not just there for the benefit of tourists. Also the market of Najac is a nice way to spend a sunday morning. L'Oustal u Barry at Najac is excellent value for a really good meal..."
