Our stay at Sara's bed and breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Initially, before traveling, we were uncertain about the location of the village and the distance it was from other villages, however, it turned out so perfect. It is the most wonderful ancient village with so much history along with peaceful, quiet and relaxing. We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of a 2 week trip in Italy. Our first night was so quiet. Sara helped us connect with the one "home kitchen" in which we were cooked a lovely dinner by a sweet family in their home. Our last day we were so lucky to witness the once a year Torchio Festival in which all the locals visit the village of Palanzo to see the ancient winepress in use. Vendors with wine, salumi, cheeses, artisan products, ceramics, etc. So great to be a part of this. Sara and Alessandro were so helpful in giving us recommendations for our next stop on our journey and even called to help us arrange some accomodations. And their son Giovanni is so precious! We felt so welcomed into their home and family and could not recommend this as a place to stay enough! And Sara's cake in the (URL HIDDEN) so delicious!

Palanzo is a hidden gem of a village, perched in the hills above Lake Como with spectacular views and even more incredible peace, quiet and ancient stone architecture. The location is a bit of a drive, but the views and uniqueness of the village more than make up for the few extra minutes on winding Italian hill roads. Lots of places nearby to hike, explore antique villages and enjoy Lake Como region. Sara's place is exactly as-pictured; stone, wood and charm galore. Sara is a perfect host, with valuable tips for places to see. Take her up on her offer to book a dinner at her friend's home restaurant. Fantastico!

Hi, We had a great stay at Sara and Alessandro's place! They are very nice, well organized and the breakfast very tasty! Also the village is greatly located and the view on the lake Como from one of the churches (Madonna del Soldo) is amazing! We wish we could have stayed longer! Kamil & Valentine

This is an opportunity to stay in a unique home in a quiet village made of stone. Sara is a wonderful host! She responds very quickly and completely. Her English is excellent, so you will experience no communication problems if you're writing to her in English. She gives a detailed explanation of how to reach the property, which is a good thing because it would be very hard to find otherwise. The road from Como up to Palanzo is narrow and winding but once you get there you can park your car at the central parking lot (at no charge) and walk to the property. As Sara will tell you, you can ask anyone where her house is and since there are only about 350 people in this small village, everyone knows each other. If you're looking for a quiet getaway and a place you'd most likely not see under any other circumstances, stay here. You will be comfortable and feel welcomed.

Wow! The whole experience at Sara's air BnB was amazing. The drive was worth it as you feel you have stepped back in time and it was such a unique experience. The room was really comfortable and authentic and we loved it. Great breakfast too. Thanks Sara!

Good guidance by the host helped to find the place. There is a free parking in the center but you need to walk up a steep road and use steps from middle age to enter. The place is like entering a adventure movie. The 16th age house has been renovated and the room was lovely. Very clean and cosy. Quiet. We loved the home restaurant that the host booked for us, very good food and nice atmosphere. Breakfast was super nice and Sara and her husband were very friendly and helpfull. If you like a adventure, this is your change. You get to understand life in Italy now and a litle the life in the 16th century.
