The space

This garden level apartment is located in a vintage building in a historic neighborhood. A main artery for bikers as they head to the daily music gigs at the end of the block, or outdoor cafes and shops around the corner. This is a unique, fun area in Chicago full of diversity.

The apartment is a very small 1 bedroom with a queen bed. There is a kitchen with cozy living room. This is ideal for one or two people although you can fit up to four people.

The kitchen has stove, refrigerator and open shelving with essentials.

The living room is perfect for relaxing with friends. There is a TV hooked up to wii and you can connect to amazon or netflix, but we don't have it set up for local channels. The apartment also has wifi for internet use.

This is an apartment building so there are people living above you and you will hear their footsteps.

Check in time is 4:00pm and check out time is 12:00pm.

Bus, Subways, Trains
You can walk to a variety of bus lines within 1-4 blocks of the apartment and get to downtown Chicago, shopping on Michigan Ave., Museum Campus, Universities, or other interesting neighborhoods in Chicago. The Blue Line Subway on Division and Ashland (a mile away) goes directly to O'Hare International Airport or downtown where you can switch to all other Subway lines. I will leave a public transportation map in the apartment.

Within walking distance from the apartment are trendy bars, cafes, shops, galleries, bakeries, Amish Food Store, and ethnic food stores.

This is Bike Town
There are many bike routes and maps throughout Chicago and enormous amounts of people biking these days.

Great space. Very good value and Tamara and her mother were always available to help with anything I needed. Close to a bus that takes you directly to the Magnificent Mile.

I stayed here for a bit more than a month while I was in town for an in-residence fellowship. The unit has the "basics" (stove, sink, dish washer, microwave, bathroom, etc.) and I was able to easily make do during my stay. The neighborhood was wonderful and I took advtange of the…

This place is in a nice residential neighborhood, walkable, with restaurants and shops nearby if you like to walk a bit. The Blue L Line trains run conveniently, and we enjoyed walking to and from. The apartment is down below in the basement but it does have windows for some air …

Tamara was a great host, always available when we had questions and she kept us informed of everything. This is a basement apartment with lots of windows, so it doesn't feel claustrophobic at all. It's two blocks away from Division street, which has lots of bars and restaurants. …

The place was cute and cozy. It was very clean and convenient to take public transportation. It came exactly how it was described. There was AC and wifi and a place to do laundry. It was simple and easy and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Comfortable place with all the necessities. Better than a hotel for longer stays for sure. A fully functional Kitchen is key! The only downsides are no on site laundry and parking is a bit rough but other than those 2 small inconveniences, very much worth it!

I am from Chicago and love to travel. Spent a few years abroad in Ukraine and Italy. I love meeting people, going out to eat and museums. I have two kids who I take out on adventures and we spend a lot of time outdoors!
