Escape to The Lara, a stylish and spacious three-bedroom lodge set in the breathtaking Mid-Wales countryside. Large bi-fold doors frame the rolling landscape, filling the open-plan living space with natural light.
Relax on the plush corner sofa in front of the Smart TV and wood-burning stove, or gather at the dining table for a leisurely meal.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher — everything you need to prepare delicious meals during your stay.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Master Bedroom: Super king-size bed, Smart TV, and private en-suite with walk-in shower and double vanity.
Bedroom 2: Super king-size bed (can be arranged as twin beds on request), Smart TV, and a dressing table that doubles as a desk — ideal for home working.
Bedroom 3: Two single beds (can be joined to create a super king on request).
Family Bathroom: Bath, separate shower, and toilet.
In total there are 5 beds, sleeping up to 6 guests.
Outdoor Bliss
Step out onto the private patio to enjoy peaceful views across the countryside. Sip your morning coffee, savour an evening drink, or unwind in the six-person hot tub under the stars.
Please note: the garden area is partially enclosed. There is fencing along the front of the property (facing the view), but the sides and back remain open, so it isn’t fully secure.

Location & Nearby Attractions
Just 15 minutes from Newtown, The Lara offers the perfect mix of tranquillity and convenience. Explore pretty Welsh market towns, or head out to Elan Valley and Hafren Forest for spectacular walks and cycling trails.
For bigger adventures, climb Mount Snowdon, Cadair Idris, or Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons National Park — each about two hours’ drive. If you prefer the coast, the beach is just over an hour away, while Shropshire’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is only 20 miles from your door.
A welcoming pub and restaurant are only 2 miles away, perfect for a relaxed meal after a day exploring.

Other things to note
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in and check-out times are fixed and cannot be adjusted.
Early check-in and late check-out are not available due to the time needed to prepare the lodge and hot tub to a high standard.
Hot Tub Maintenance
As the weather gets colder, we may need to begin draining and cleaning the hot tub from 9am on the morning of departure to ensure it is fully heated and ready for the next guests. This will not affect your time inside the lodge.
Rural Countryside Setting
Our lodges are surrounded by peaceful farmland, woodland, and two ponds — a tranquil countryside escape.
With this natural setting, you may occasionally notice flies or insects, especially in warmer months.
We provide discreet fly traps, spray, and a swat. Keeping windows and doors closed when not in use, and disposing of food waste promptly, helps keep them to a minimum.
On-site Pond (Fishing from Spring 2026)
A small on-site pond will offer carp fishing from Spring 2026.
