Lovely stay from the welcome to the departure. Served our purposes perfectly as we were touring in the area and needed a base. Great big breakfast, home baked bread !!! Clean, neat & tidy premises, accurately described by our friendly hosts.

We really enjoyed all aspects of our stay with Gerard & Helen. They made us feel very welcome, and were on hand throughout our stay. The accommodation was perfect for our needs and was very well presented. Breakfast was really excellent, and we enjoyed playing a number of games of pool. Great house, and great hosts all round! We have no hesitation in recommending this listing, and Gerard & Helen to other potential guests.

Perfect place for 4 people, two bedrooms with at least two separate beds and one bath for each room. They are united by a common room with games, books, etc. In this room the owners gave us a wonderful breakfast before we checked-out. All these rooms are in the first room, the owners live in the ground floor so the check-in was easy and flexible, and we had enough independency. The house seems to be "in the middle of nowhere" but for us was a perfect place to rest in our road trip around the island.

Response from Gerard:
Thank you Alberto for taking the time to write review. You managed to describe our place very well, probably better than we describe it ourselves in our listing. We hope you had an enjoyable time in Ireland and wish you all the best. Regards Gerard and Helen

Gerard's place was situated in a very peaceful area close to a beautiful lough and abbey. It was also close to main roads so access was fine. Gerard even offered to meet us in Castlebaldwin if we had any trouble finding him which was kind. The family were so lovely, very friendly and also had a lovely dog. There was a secure garage for our bikes. The place was very clean and comfortable and included two en suite bedrooms and a games room with a pool table. Wifi worked well! Lovely fresh fruit on arrive and a great breakfast selection supplied in the morning. The only feedback I can really give is it's listed as a 'entire place' but access is through the main house and the AirBnB area doesn't include a kitchen etc. Despite this Gerard was very accommodating, I had read 'entire place' and assumed there would be a kitchen we could use and was so thankful that he allowed us to cook in their kitchen and store a few bits in their fridge. Nothing was too much trouble for them!
