Situated in the pretty, historic village of Valor the apartment is a tranquil haven in Las Alpujarras. It has been renovated retaining original rustic features - stone walls and chestnut beams -but with all the comforts of modern convenience. The large private terrace has stunning views to the Mediterranean and there is a swimming pool to keep cool. The area is ideal for walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers; a trip to the amazing Alhambra Palace in Granada makes a great day out from Valor.
The 1 bedroom apartment is spacious, light and airy.
There is a large open plan salon/dining area with seating for 4 guests. The sofa in the sitting area is a futon so the apartment can easily sleep 4.
We offer a large and varied collection of books, as well as English language Videos and a machine to play them, Spanish Tv and WiFi internet. We can provide an iPod dock or radio-cassette player too. Even CDs if you need them.
The fully fitted kitchen has typically Alpujarran wooden cupboards, granite work tops, gas hob and electric oven - everything you require to prepare and cook a full meal, should you want to. However the free tapas in the village bars will usually be enough. The kitchen also includes a new washing machine and fridge-freezer.
There is a separate bedroom with double bed and plenty of built-in storage.
Throughout the apartment are many original features such as chestnut beams and stone walls. It is a quiet, cool place to stay.
There is direct access to a private south-facing terrace with plenty of space for dining al fresco and sunbathing. Steps lead from the terrace to a 7m x4m swimming pool surrounded by vines and planted areas with many roses and other fragrant plants. There is a healthy herb garden which you are free to help yourself from if cooking for yourselves.
The pool offers shady and sunny spots to enjoy the amazing views and sunsets - perhaps with a glass of wine from one of the local prize-winning bodegas.
